At the school festival, Lin Guang helped Ayase Shinomiya face her guilt over Gai Tsutsugami’s death. When an armed attack disrupted the festival, he promised to give Ayase legs that would let her fight, then used his ability to draw out her Void.

Ayase Shinomiya used her Void to fight alongside Lin Guang and help defeat the attackers, then began to face life after Gai’s death with renewed hope. Their relief ended when Shūichirō Keidō announced that the Tokyo region would be locked down for ten years, leaving the students trapped and abandoned.

• Arisa Shūkyōin directed the students to evacuate as Ayase Shinomiya used her Void to save Maid Tsunomori and outmaneuver the Sincere Youth Group.
• Tsugumi dropped a sack over the square-faced bald man, while Lin Guang drew the Void Great Sword from Inori Yuzuriha and destroyed an attacking Endlave.

• At a student assembly, Arisa Shūkyōin urged everyone to stay calm while Namba proposed inspecting the wall and then called for a vote of no confidence in her leadership.
• Afterward, Arisa and Ayase Shinomiya distributed vaccines as students online criticized Arisa’s leadership, and Tsugumi argued with Souta Tamadate about whether Arisa was suited to lead.

• Inori Yuzuriha weakened as Mana Ouma’s consciousness overpowered her and encased her in purple crystal.
• Mana Ouma emerged from the crystal and attacked Tamayo, but Shinobu Kocho protected her.
