The sickle collided with the Nichirin Blade. Tengen's fierce assault had failed. Gyutaro matched him in both speed and strength, and with his ability to turn blood from anywhere on his body into blades, Tengen couldn't land a cut on him.
Worse still, Gyutaro's poison had taken effect. His condition was growing increasingly grim, his head was starting to feel foggy, and blotches of poison had already appeared on his face.
Gyutaro noticed this too. He pointed at Tengen and jeered, "Hehehehe! Looks like the poison really is kicking in. And you said it didn't work on you. Aren't you embarrassed to bluff like that?
"Even if that brat has figured out our secret, it's already useless. You're the strongest, and you've been poisoned. You'll be dead before long, and then the rest of them will die too."
Hearing Gyutaro's words, Tengen raised both blades and shouted, "No! It hasn't worked at all..."

Before Tengen Uzui could finish, red flames suddenly erupted from his body, soaring upward and engulfing him completely.

With the poison completely gone and the blotches on his face vanished, Tengen felt exceptionally good. His opinion of Tanjiro and Nezuko was now soaring.
