"Uh... what are you doing?"
Chiba Yo looked at Tengen and the others in confusion.
It looked rather like Tengen had been caught abducting children, so Chiba Yo hadn't followed his instructions.
"He's a kidnapper! Help us!"
Sumi Nakahara clung to Tengen's thigh, tears streaming down her face as she shouted toward Chiba Yo.
"You bastard..."
Just then, Tanjiro returned from a mission. Hearing Sumi Nakahara's cries, he immediately rushed forward to headbutt Tengen, but stopped for the moment when he spotted Chiba Yo and Zenitsu there as well.
"Let those girls go right now!" Although he hadn't headbutted Tengen, Tanjiro still shouted at him.
Sumi Nakahara's and Tanjiro's words only made Tengen angrier.
"You stupid brat!" Tengen first roared at Sumi Nakahara, frightening her into a shriek. Then, ignoring Tanjiro, he loudly explained to Chiba Yo, "My next mission requires female Corps members who can infiltrate the Entertainment District. Neither of these two is a Tsuguko, so I can deploy them without notifying Shinobu Kocho. But these other three idiots insisted on throwing themselves at me to stop me!"
After hearing Tengen's explanation, Chiba Yo understood what had happened. Then he pointed at Naho and said, somewhat puzzled, "But this little girl isn't a member of the Demon Slayer Corps."
"That's right! Naho isn't a Corps member!" Sumi Nakahara immediately chimed in.
"She doesn't even have a uniform!" Kiyo Terauchi added.
Hearing this, Tengen took a look at Naho, whom he had tucked under his arm, and discovered that they were right.
"Then I don't need her."
With that, Tengen released his grip, and Naho fell to the ground.
"Naho!"
Kiyo Terauchi and Sumi Nakahara hurried to gather Naho into their arms.
"And Miss Kanzaki hasn't even agreed to go with you!" Once Naho was released, Sumi Nakahara shouted
