The rabbit surpassed Gon and Killua in both strength and speed. Relying on technique alone, the two were at a disadvantage from the start.
After just a few exchanges, both were knocked to the ground.
Fortunately, they defended themselves in time and escaped injury. They quickly got into position, and Killua leaped high into the air before pointing one hand at the rabbit. A torrent of lightning poured from his fingertips.
Then Killua shouted, "Thunderbolt!"
The torrent of lightning struck the rabbit. Electricity that powerful would have reduced an ordinary person to ashes, but the rabbit was far stronger than an ordinary person.
Even so, the intense electric shock temporarily rooted him to the spot.
Gon seized the moment while the rabbit was stunned and drove a Rock-Paper-Scissors blow into his stomach, sending him flying.
Killua landed safely on the ground. Seeing the rabbit fly backward, he exclaimed happily,
"Great! Right on target!"
Just as the two prepared to wait for the rabbit to hit the ground so they could pummel him some more, something flashed past, caught the slowly falling rabbit, and flew away with rapid beats of his wings.
All four of them were startled by the sight.
Cordis narrowed his eyes and took a careful look at the winged Chimera Ant. "I saw that Chimera Ant not long ago," he said in surprise. "Looks like he's been lying in wait nearby all this time."
"He hid himself really well. Is that instinctive for Chimera Ants?"
Kite leaned against a tree with his arms folded and shook his head. "Lying in wait? Not necessarily."
Then he glanced at Cordis, who was still pondering it seriously, and said evenly, "Rather than lying in wait, I'd say he was testing our strength."
Realization dawned on Cordis. He clapped his hands
