As Baro fell, the group of chimera ants could not hide their astonishment.
Just then, Killua, who had remained quiet all this time, stepped forward impatiently. With his hands in his pockets and an indifferent expression, he said, "Hurry up. We've still got places to go."
The large frog leading them shot a resentful glare at Baro, who lay on the ground, his fate unknown, then shouted at the ladybug beside him, "Who's next? Hurry!"
At his words, the ladybug shook the wooden box in his hands a few more times, and a slip of paper popped out.
The frog snatched the slip, glanced at it, then shouted behind him, "Number three! Come out!"
A bull-like chimera ant swaggered slowly forward. He spat toward Baro's fallen body nearby, then gave Killua a provocative grin and said,
"I'm nothing like that guy. I'm ten times stronger than him."
Killua did not reply. Instead, he casually turned his face aside and rocked back and forth, offering a couple of absentminded grunts as he listened to the chimera ant.
Just as Killua was wondering why this guy talked so much,
Cordis, standing at the back, unconsciously bit his thumb and suddenly called out in a trembling voice, "Killua!"
The call startled Killua. He turned to Cordis and found him staring fixedly back, though his complexion looked rather poor.
Cordis pressed his brow and braced himself against a nearby tree. "Finish this quickly. I've got a bad feeling."
Kite, who stood beside him, noticed his condition too. Arms folded, he slowly opened his eyes and said evenly, "Me too. A terrible feeling keeps following me like a shadow. Finishing quickly can't hurt."
Killua did not understand what bad thing they were talking about, but he knew Cordis and Kite would not say something strange
