[Bolan Tomb has arrived. Passengers disembarking here, please gather your luggage.]

As the airship slowly descended, Cordis and the others arrived at the first stop on their tour that day.

Bolan Tomb.

It was the height of summer, with the scorching sun overhead, when everyone stepped off the airship.

An unbearable wave of heat hit them in the face.

Even Nen users could not withstand this heat.

Machi took out a small fan and held it over her head to block the sunlight.

She looked around.

There was practically no one there apart from them.

Even the tomb's staff were pitifully few.

Chrollo had not expected it to be so hot here either, but the thought of the ancient architecture perked him right back up.

He addressed the others, who had already begun complaining despite themselves.

"Let's go a little farther. We'll reach the depths of the tomb soon."

It really was strange. Despite the heat, he had not expected such a large tomb to have no tourists at all.

At that moment, the members of the Spider seemed to be the only people in the entire Bolan Tomb.

That made the ever-vigilant Machi feel that something was wrong.

"Boss, I've got a bad feeling about this."

Just then, Cordis suddenly stopped, instinctively bending forward slightly as he watched his surroundings with a wary expression.

"Someone's here. No, a lot of people."

Cordis had felt something was strange from the moment they arrived at Bolan Tomb.

For some reason, he kept feeling as though someone was watching him.

Those eyes had followed him all the way from the tomb's entrance.

At first, there had only been one or two pairs.

But now their numbers had suddenly grown.

Yet when he looked at the members of the Spider, none of them seemed to react.

Cordis had simply chalked it up to his nerves playing tricks on him.

But he no longer thought that. At least six pairs of eyes were now fixed intently on them.

Chrollo seemed to have noticed long ago as well. After exchanging glances with the others, they quickly took up formation.

Seeing that they had been exposed, the lurking figures gave themselves away.

They stopped trying to hide and emerged one by one from the rooftops, behind pillars, and beneath the pool.

Their leader was a burly man covered in bulging muscles. He grinned as he eyed the group excitedly.

"Hahaha, what a haul! I never thought so many of you would show up."

As he spoke, he pointed a finger at Chrollo and the others and began counting.

"One, two, three, four... What the hell! Why are only six of the thirteen here?"

One of his underlings had also been watching them closely, and he looked somewhat surprised when he spotted Cordis.

He cautiously leaned toward his boss.

"Boss, I don't think the silver-haired one belongs to the Spider."

The leader nodded thoughtfully, then suddenly flew into a rage. He grabbed the underling by the throat and snapped.

"Do I need you telling me what to do?!"

The underling struggled in agony, but his movements soon weakened. His eyes rolled back as he was strangled to death.

Looking bored, the leader tossed his dead underling aside.

Then he addressed Chrollo and the others.

"Is your boss here? Doesn't matter whether he is or not. You're all dying here today anyway."

After saying that, he drew a finger across his throat and eyed them mockingly.

The sight made Cordis tense up.

Cordis was not yet sure whether he was strong enough to defeat them without getting hurt.

But anyone who had escaped the Spider's notice for so long certainly could not be weak.

Chrollo watched the smug man standing a short distance away.

He put away the book he had taken out.

Seeing Chrollo withdraw his Nen Ability, the others withdrew their own abilities as well.

Feitan could not even be bothered to give the man a proper look.

He stared listlessly at a little bird flying overhead.

Cordis was at a loss.

What were they doing?

When the leader saw their response, he reacted.

He could not help bursting into laughter.

"Hahahaha! I knew it! The Spider isn't nearly as scary as the rumors say!"

An underling beside him hurried over to fawn on him.

"That's all because you're too strong, boss. One look at you, and those Spider guys gave up fighting."

The leader laughed even more gleefully at that. Looking pleased with himself, he patted the underling on the shoulder.

"You've got a sweet tongue, kid. Once we've killed them all, I'll give you a cut of the bounty."

The underling hastily bowed his head in delight.

"Thank you for looking out for me, boss."

Just then, Chrollo suddenly spoke from beside Cordis.

"Cordis, come to think of it, I don't believe I've ever seen your Nen Ability. Would you mind showing me?"

For a moment, Cordis did not know what to do.

Normally, revealing one's ability to someone else was an incredibly foolish and dangerous act.

Yet for some reason, whenever he heard Chrollo's voice, he felt an urge to submit.

Before Cordis could even agree, they moved.

The members of the Spider took several steps back.

They left the stage to Cordis.

The leader froze at the sight for a moment, then let out another furious roar.

"Fine! I'll kill this little brat first, then slaughter the rest of you!"

As he spoke, he shot a look at the underlings behind him.

At his signal, they all revealed their Nen Abilities and rushed Cordis at once.

All sorts of bizarre Nen Abilities shot toward him.

But Cordis dodged them all with ease.

Cordis quickly calmed himself, bringing himself into peak condition.

As he settled down, his large, expressive eyes gradually grew lifeless.

Cordis raised his hand slightly.

The fountain spraying water nearby suddenly stopped.

All the water in the pool floated toward Cordis.

It formed a barrier behind him.

The sight stunned the enemies before him. Even Chrollo, watching from the sidelines, could not help being startled.

Could Cordis control water?

But Chrollo quickly dismissed that idea.

Cordis's Nen Ability seemed more complicated than he had imagined.

Cordis pointed his index finger upward.

The vast barrier of water behind him instantly separated into countless droplets of identical size.

Cordis gently swept his hand forward.

Countless droplets shot toward the enemies like bullets.

The seemingly fragile droplets burst like miniature bombs the moment they touched a person's body.

The splashing water scattered everywhere like sharp silver needles.

Fortunately for the enemies, the droplets were not fast. Anyone alert enough could dodge them easily.

Even so, there was no withstanding this rain of water droplets.

Those with defensive Nen Abilities fared all right.

Those without them could only endure the barrage.

In the end, they were riddled with holes like honeycombs.

Last time, someone said Cordis's Nen Ability resembled Gojo Satoru's Limitless.

Actually, it might be a little more complicated than Limitless.

I also know you definitely won't be able to guess it.

I'll explain it fully in the next chapter.
