Unfortunately, Hisoka sidestepped and dodged it.
Using his shorter stature to his advantage, Gon clenched his fist again and punched toward Hisoka's abdomen.
All these moves were lightning-fast.
But in Hisoka's eyes, they still weren't enough to make him fight back.
A few backflips put some distance between them.
"Pai Pai~ Remember to come see me at six tonight~ ❤"
With that, he winked at Cordis, then waved and left.
Once Hisoka was far away, Gon gave up on chasing him and looked at Cordis seriously instead.
"Cordis, what did Hisoka whisper in your ear just now?"
Cordis was speechless. So you were going to punch him without even knowing what he'd said?
Killua stood beside them, equally curious, though he knew nothing good could have come out of Hisoka's mouth.
Cordis instinctively turned his head away.
After all, it was better not to tell children about that sort of thing.
Though he didn't know what Hisoka had meant by saying he needed his body, either.
But surely Hisoka had no shortage of people around him.
He hoped he was overthinking it.
Of course, if it really was something indecent...
He would cut Hisoka's head off without hesitation!
He was still young, and naturally, he wanted to save himself for someone who truly mattered. A womanizer like Hisoka?
No, thanks.
Cordis stammered.
"It's nothing, really. He just offered me a job and asked me to discuss it with him tonight."
"Discuss it?"
Gon frowned and rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
"It has to be another new trick Hisoka's come up with! Cordis, I'm going with you!"
Killua wholeheartedly agreed with Gon.
One look at Hisoka was enough to tell he was full of nasty schemes.
Knowing Cordis owed him three hundred million, how could he possibly be kind enough to offer him a job?
With his hands in his pockets, Killua walked up to Cordis and shrugged helplessly.
"Well~ Since you're so weak, I guess I'll be nice and help you out."
Seeing Killua's nonchalant expression, someone who didn't know better might have thought Hisoka was weak.
But the way both boys wanted to help him despite the danger...
Still touched Cordis.
But how could I bring children along for that sort of thing?!
What would I bring them for? To watch from the sidelines?
At that thought, even Cordis couldn't help blushing a little.
After coughing twice to clear his throat, he spoke.
"No way. Have you mastered Nen yet? You're already trying to run around with me instead? Sounds like you're trying to slack off."
"I think we'd better make your training harder."
That was no problem for Gon. Sometimes, he even thought his training was progressing too slowly.
But it was out of the question for Killua. My training's already eaten into my chocolate time, and you want to add more?!
No way!
He glared at Cordis as though he were an ungrateful wretch and shouted angrily.
"Oh, so that's how it is! I'm never helping you again!"
Cordis smiled and bent down, bringing his face close to Killua and Gon.
"Hisoka and I have something very important to do. Keep training hard until I get back~ I'll bring you some snacks as a reward~"
"All right~ Got it?"
As he spoke, he reached out and patted both their heads.
Killua blushed and said nothing, though his mind was actually filled with images of strawberry cake and chocolates.
He hadn't had any sweets for days.
Gon, however, pouted and muttered under his breath.
"But we haven't even been together for an hour."
His voice was quiet, but Cordis's keen hearing still caught it.
Cordis gently pinched Gon's nose twice and reassured him with a soft chuckle.
"Don't worry. I'll be back soon."
"Maybe if you train hard, I'll be back by the time you're done."
With that, Cordis left Heavens Arena.
Killua and Gon stayed behind and continued training with Wing.
Yet for some reason, after hearing Cordis's words, Gon...
Couldn't help thinking of his sorry excuse for a father, who had run off as soon as he was born.
Promises like "I'll come back once you've finished training" were usually just tricks to fool children.
Deep down, Gon understood that perfectly well.
But every time, he fooled himself into believing that he really would come back.
Even though he had never come back, not even once.
Before long, it was nearly six in the evening.
Cordis glanced at the clock, saw that it was almost time, and headed to the two-hundredth floor, stopping outside Hisoka's door.
Before going in, Cordis took several deep breaths.
Only after making sure he had several knives on him, ready to strike from any angle...
Did he gently knock on Hisoka's door.
With a creak, the door quickly opened.
Hisoka appeared before him with nothing but a bath towel wrapped around his lower half.
His deathly pale skin and perfectly toned muscles were on full display.
That strong, powerful waist might soon...
Stop thinking about it! The more I think, the weirder it gets!
As the saying went, out of sight, out of mind. As long as he couldn't see it, he wouldn't think about all that nonsense.
At that thought, Cordis hurriedly covered his eyes.
Seeing his reaction, Hisoka leaned against the door, curled his lips, and chuckled.
"Pai Pai~ Why are you still standing in the doorway~ Come on in~"
He sounds just like someone soliciting on the street. Could he be any more shameless?!
Cordis grumbled inwardly.
Still, he had no choice but to lower his hands from his eyes.
Keeping his head down to avoid looking at Hisoka as much as possible, he walked inside.
Once he was inside, Hisoka went to change.
Cordis looked around the room on his own.
He had to admit that Hisoka's taste in interior decor was very close to his own.
They both liked things lavish to the extreme.
But wait, isn't this one of the private rooms provided on the two-hundredth floor and above at Heavens Arena?
In that case...
It's not Hisoka whose taste is close to mine.
It's Heavens Arena's designer.
When I get a place of my own someday, I'll hire that designer too.
The inner door opened, and Hisoka stepped out, fully dressed.
Today, however, he wasn't wearing his clown outfit. In a rare change, he had put on a very formal-looking black suit.
Even his hair, which usually took who knew how much gel to keep standing upright...
Had been left down for once.
But his face still bore that ridiculous clown makeup.
It added a touch of strangeness to the otherwise formal suit.
This was the first time Cordis had seen Hisoka dressed so formally.
For a moment, he was actually a little flustered.
Could it be...
Hisoka wants to try uniform roleplay?!
At that thought, Cordis instinctively felt for the knife hidden at his waist.
If Hisoka dares come near me, I'll stab him right in the kidney.
Put a hole clean through it.
