Hisoka's lips curled into a smile as he watched Cordis bend back slightly whenever he sensed danger.

The flames of desire in his heart flared to life every time he saw Cordis.

But what a shame.

There would be no chance today.

At the thought, he unconsciously licked his lips, pressing his tongue against a canine tooth in an attempt to suppress his desire through pain.

Hisoka straightened the suit he rarely wore as he walked up to Cordis.

He lowered his head to look down at Cordis, who was half a head shorter than him, and said with a smile,

"What a shame~ We have something more important to do, so I'm afraid we can't play together. Let's play once we're finished~"

As he spoke, he reached out and stroked Cordis's head, as though he simply couldn't keep his hands to himself.

That crossed Cordis's bottom line outright.

Cordis immediately slapped the hand off his head.

Then, without the slightest hesitation, he drew his knife and stabbed at Hisoka.

I've lived nineteen years, damn it. I'm the one who gets to pat other people, not the other way around.

Doesn't he know you don't touch a tiger's tail?!

Great! The chastity I've guarded for nineteen years has been stolen by Hisoka's filthy hand!

Hisoka saw Cordis's knife coming toward him.

He bent backward, dodging the first horizontal slash aimed straight at him.

Then he caught Cordis's knife-wielding right hand and twisted it behind him. Having been broken once before, Cordis's right hand was already weaker than it used to be.

That alone sent the knife he had been gripping tightly clattering to the floor.

Cordis now found himself in an awkward position, his arm twisted behind his back as Hisoka pinned him firmly against the table.

Even so, Cordis continued to shout defiantly.

"Bastard! Let me go if you've got the guts!"

Hisoka said nothing and gradually increased the pressure on his right arm.

Cordis realized his arm was in danger of being broken again.

He immediately became terrified.

Tears began to glimmer tentatively in his eyes, and he pleaded in a soft, plaintive voice.

"Lord Hisoka, I was wrong! If you break it again, it won't heal!"

Seeing Cordis's pitiful expression, Hisoka gave a quiet hum and slowly released his grip.

At that moment, Cordis took advantage of Hisoka's distraction and his own astonishing core strength.

He spun around at incredible speed, raised his leg, and kicked straight at Hisoka's chin.

Hisoka's reaction speed was remarkable, too, and he quickly dodged.

Even so, a shocking gash appeared across his chin.

A spike had emerged from the heel of one of Cordis's high heels.

There was no trace of that delicate, pitiful look left on Cordis's face. Even the shimmering tears from earlier seemed like an illusion.

The room's somewhat dim lighting added a touch of allure to his beautiful, feminine face.

Especially with the moonlight falling through the window directly onto him.

Against his silver hair, it looked as though he had been bathed in holy light.

He was breathtakingly beautiful.

Hisoka rolled his eyes at the sight.

For some reason, he suddenly regretted taking this job.

If I'd known, I would've quoted less-two hundred million, or even a hundred million. Then I could've used the rest to enjoy myself~❤

But words once spoken were like spilled water. It was too late for regrets now.

Cordis saw the long cut across Hisoka's chin.

He slowly lowered his raised leg and pressed a spot on the heel with his left hand, retracting the spike.

He had made this himself. Come to think of it, it was his first attempt at making anything by hand.

He had originally worried about whether he had done a good job.

But judging by the results, it worked pretty well. All he had to do was swing his leg hard, and the spike would come out.

Retracting it was a bit of a hassle, though. He actually had to do it manually.

Once he saw that the spike had fully retracted,

Cordis hopped off the table and walked up to Hisoka.

He grabbed Hisoka's collar and glared at him with his bright blue eyes.

"If you dare put your hands on me again, I'll gouge your eyes out."

Hisoka smiled and nodded.

Cordis couldn't be bothered to waste any more time with him. He released Hisoka's collar and asked,

"What exactly is this job you came to me about?"

Hisoka straightened his rumpled collar and glanced at the clock on the wall.

Their little scuffle had brought the time close to seven.

That was not good news.

Without offering Cordis much of an explanation, he gave him a smile and headed for the door.

Cordis knew Hisoka must be cooking up another nasty idea.

But to pay off his three-hundred-million debt, he still followed him out.

He followed Hisoka out of Heavens Arena.

They headed to an enormous casino nearby that occupied nearly a thousand square meters.

[Fillmore Casino]

On the way to the casino, Hisoka prepared to use Texture Surprise to cover the wound on his chin.

He kept complaining as well.

"Oh dear~ Pai Pai, you were so rough~ This might leave a scar~"

Cordis began to feel a little guilty.

Hisoka only touched my head, and I cut him for it. Was that a bit much?

But he quickly dismissed the thought.

He's lucky I didn't chop his hand off.

Yet for some reason, seeing Hisoka quietly lamenting the wound that might leave a scar,

Cordis found himself thinking that perhaps he should heal it for him.

Honestly, what can I do?

Once an idea like that entered his head, he probably wouldn't get a good night's sleep for the next month unless he acted on it.

He sighed.

He grabbed Hisoka and, while he was still bewildered, tore the Texture Surprise off his chin and tossed it aside.

With Texture Surprise peeled away,

Blood began pouring from the wound again.

Hisoka narrowed his eyes and asked,

"Pai Pai~ What are you doing~?"

Cordis couldn't be bothered to answer Hisoka.

Instead, he raised one finger and used Flowing Woman to speed up Hisoka's blood circulation.

This time, the blood flow was unlike when he had killed Nedepu.

Back then, the blood had moved too fast and rushed into his brain.

This time, he kept it at a moderate pace, neither too fast nor too slow.

Used properly, this ability could serve as both a hidden weapon that killed without a trace and a convenient portable healing kit.

Cordis really was a good actor.

Don't let him fool you!

A new map appeared.

[Fillmore Casino]

There might be fewer updates tomorrow. I'm just too exhausted.

Pestering me won't help this time.

Ever since I started writing novels, my hair has been falling out in handfuls. I urgently need a shampoo that can treat hair loss.
