Mito pursed her lips and, after weighing her words for a long while, spoke.
"Cordis, please, you have to take good care of Gon for me!"
With that, she bowed deeply to Cordis.
Cordis had never been faced with anything like this before. He froze for a moment, then hurriedly helped Mito straighten up.
"Mito, I'd do that even if you hadn't asked."
At his words, Mito clasped his hand gratefully.
"Thank you so much, Cordis."
Before they knew it, night had fallen.
Gon and Killua returned home before it was completely dark. The moment they walked in, they saw Cordis standing in front of them in a pink apron.
An unpleasant memory instantly surfaced in Gon's mind.
"Cordis, don't tell me you're cooking this time!"
Gon had barely finished speaking when Mito suddenly appeared beside him, raised her fist, and smacked the back of his head.
"Where are your manners? Call him big brother Cordis! He's seven years older than you, after all!"
Rubbing the faint ache at the back of his head, Gon looked at Cordis with a wounded, bewildered expression.

Cordis, meanwhile, looked positively delighted by his misfortune.

Both boys stopped wolfing down their food and looked at Mito in confusion.
"Once you leave Whale Island, you must listen to Cordis the whole time."
Her eyes were filled with worry as she said this.
