The celebratory hot spring trip lasted two days and one night.
Apart from Tatsumaki, the only women attending were two staff members from the Hero Association.
Everyone else was a man.
They first gathered at the designated meeting point, ready to board their chartered vehicle together.
Bai Ye, Saitama, Genos, and Boros arrived together.
"Oh! The stars of the show are here."
Atomic Samurai spoke with a smile.
By "the stars of the show," he clearly meant Bai Ye and Boros.
"Indeed. The last alien invasion was resolved almost entirely thanks to Mr. Kamui. And although Mr. Boros was originally an enemy, he later provided the Hero Association with substantial funding."
Iaian, who had accompanied his master, nodded.
He had originally felt that he had no place at this celebration, but at Atomic Samurai's insistence, he had come along anyway.
Bai Ye greeted Atomic Samurai and the others.
Tatsumaki arrived shortly afterward.
Bai Ye greeted her as well. "Miss Tatsumaki."
But Tatsumaki's response was to give him a dirty look. "Hmph!"
"..."
Bai Ye smiled helplessly.
Was Tatsumaki still sulking over what happened yesterday?
"Is she mad because you knocked her down a spot in the rankings?"
Atomic Samurai gave Bai Ye a light nudge with his elbow, looking all too eager to stir up some drama.
"I don't think that's why..."
Bai Ye said nothing more.
At the very least, her sulking certainly had nothing to do with the rankings. After all, the association had asked for her consent before adjusting his rank.
When the scheduled departure time arrived, everyone boarded the chartered vehicle and set off.
Anyone who had not arrived was considered absent. They were not going to waste too much time waiting around.
