Illumi gave A Luo a long, searching look. Although he did not understand why she was so determined to wipe out these creatures called Chimera Ants, the eldest son of the Zoldyck Family was a dedicated professional. He would never turn away a job that came knocking.
Especially not with that kind of payment.
After accepting the billion Jenny the girl transferred to him, Illumi headed straight back to NGL to investigate the mysterious creatures called Chimera Ants, as A Luo had requested.
Then, having spent every last Jenny she had for the sake of world peace, A Luo could only stare longingly at a restaurant while her empty stomach growled.
"Chrollo, you're paying!"
"I want their cream of tomato soup and pasta."
The girl ordered without the slightest hesitation.
Chrollo said nothing. A Luo turned toward him and loudly accused him, utterly convinced she was in the right.
"You hitched a ride on the airship we hired Illumi to get us out of NGL, didn't you? Then shouldn't you cover half his fee?"
Chrollo looked up at the sky, perfectly shameless.
"I don't have that much Jenny."
A Luo: "..."
Hearing her stomach protest again, A Luo could only settle for less and say helplessly:
"I'm not asking you to transfer hundreds of millions of Jenny to me all at once. Just cover my food and lodging for a while."
Chrollo looked uncomfortable and kept staring at the sky in silence.
A Luo almost laughed in exasperation.
"Don't tell me you don't even have that much Jenny?"
Chrollo nodded.
A Luo helplessly pressed a hand to her forehead.
Fine! Just her luck to get stuck with such a penniless Boss!
"Then what do you suggest we do now?"
People needed to eat, drink, relieve themselves, and sleep to survive.
