A Luo had no idea how long she had been running through the mist with Ponzu in tow. Only when she could faintly make out the main group following the examiner, Satotz, up ahead did she try stopping to catch her breath.
"Ponzu, we should be fine from here on. As long as we stick close to the examiner, we're sure to pass this test..."
The girl's voice shot up an octave the instant she turned and saw who she had been pulling along.
"Why is it you?"
A Luo stared in shock at Gittarackur, the nail-covered weirdo Illumi was disguised as, looking as though she had seen a ghost.
Don't tell me he was the one I'd been dragging along this whole time!

Gittarackur tilted his head. To A Luo, that click sounded no different from him mocking her for being an idiot.
"The person behind me was clearly Ponzu! Why is it you? Where did Ponzu go?"
A Luo was losing her mind.
Gittarackur shook his head, then turned and ran toward the main group up ahead.
What on earth had Illumi been thinking? He hadn't made a single sound all that time, letting her drag him through more than half the Numere Wetlands.
The last time they met, this guy had been threatening to kill her!
