King and Genos looked grave yet excited. When their eyes happened to meet, each discovered an eagerness to fight brimming in the other's gaze. Their fighting spirit had never been higher!

"Emmm... what was it Josen said at the intelligence briefing this afternoon?"
Josen's warning echoed in King's mind. A handful of monsters, including the Monster King, had already surpassed the bounds of ordinary Dragon-level Monsters. Like Elder Centipede, who had appeared not long ago, enemies of that caliber were no longer something a lone S-Class Hero could easily defeat.
The best response was to call in backup!
"But before that, I should at least see where my limits lie, right?"
In the darkness, King's blazing gaze met the young cyborg's fearless, headstrong eyes.
King's biomagnetic field easily picked up Genos's thoughts.

Dazzling currents and scorching flames erupted together. In perfect sync, two tall, agile figures leaped into the seemingly bottomless dark abyss before them.
The battlefield aboveground.
Like a reef standing firm amid the tides, the professional Hero force shattered wave after wave of monsters. Blood and body parts soon stained the earth a gruesome black and red.
The vast majority of Tiger-level Monsters were no match for this Hero force at all. They were blasted down in swathes by all kinds of ranged attacks before they could even finish their charge.
"This so-called Monster Association isn't as scary as I imagined!"
Pale blue light shone in Fubuki's eyes. With her psychic power, she seized a rock the size of a road roller and hurled it straight ahead of the Fubuki Group!
Piercing screams rang out one after another. The monsters that failed to dodge instantly suffered heavy casualties!
