Mingye defeated the Northern Country, became a Great Yokai, and strengthened the Wolf Tribe’s rule before entering the Underworld and leaving a clone to govern. As his allies and rivals pursued their own paths, Sesshomaru challenged Mingye and later tested Inuyasha.

• Mingye and the Demon Wolf fighters defeated the Northern Country’s leaders and army, and Sesshomaru arrived to kill the remaining enemy champions and drive the survivors away.
• Mingye defeated Fūzetsuga, then explained to Sesshomaru that he remembered a past life as a human and urged him to choose his own path, and Sesshomaru resolved to surpass Tōga and Mingye.
• Mingye returned to Demon Wolf Castle, healed Chongli, and entered seclusion to cultivate, while Guigu released Fengxue and began preparing the White Tiger clan to oppose the Wolf Tribe.
• After a year of cultivation, Mingye became a Great Yokai, and Sesshomaru learned that Bakusaiga would emerge when he reached the same level.
• Kir inmaru challenged Mingye, who defeated him and subdued the Four Great Calamity Beasts, and Mingye then discovered that the Demon Wolf Tomb’s ancestral spirits had vanished and entered the Underworld, leaving a self-aware clone behind.
• Guigu failed to secure Emperor Yu’s alliance and secretly used a pill to turn Yakan against Wutong Mountain, while the King of the Underworld clone led the Wolf Tribe into the Eastern Country and later comforted Inuyasha after Izayoi’s death.
• Inuyasha left to find his own path with Tessaiga, while the King of the Underworld set out for Horai Immortal Island and defeated Sesshomaru in a duel after Sesshomaru manifested Bakusaiga.
• Inuyasha traveled with Miroku, but Sesshomaru confronted him and knocked him unconscious after easily countering his attacks.
