Naraku had actually come!! But Kagome still hadn't returned!
Hearing that Naraku had appeared, Xu Zhiqiu trembled. She looked over their current group of five. Kagome, who knew a little spiritual power, wasn't here, and Kikyo had left. Miroku's arm was injured, and Inuyasha hadn't fully recovered from his wounds. Even if Sango could still put up a fight, could she defeat Naraku?
Xu Zhiqiu had her doubts.
"Stay here for now. Sango and I will deal with him." With that, Inuyasha carried his sword outside.
Sango picked up the Hiraikotsu, with Kirara following close behind.
Xu Zhiqiu walked to the doorway, lifted one side of the bamboo curtain, and poked her head out to look outside.
Naraku, clad from head to toe in the Baboon Skin, had appeared soundlessly outside Granny Kaede's house.
Inuyasha stared warily at Naraku's sudden appearance, gripping his sword hilt with both hands, poised to strike. "Naraku."
"Oh? Inuyasha, the woman who once loved you left without even looking at you. How does that feel?" Naraku raised his head, his red eyes fixed on the woman peeking out from inside the house, even as he mocked Inuyasha.
Noticing his gaze, Xu Zhiqiu hastily pulled her head back inside.
"You!" His words instantly enraged Inuyasha.
Seeing this, Sango hurriedly spoke up from beside him. "So you came just to tell us that, Naraku? I never knew you were a peeping Tom."
"Heh, of course not. Dealing with you would be child's play. I came today for another reason. Have Xu Zhiqiu come out, or I won't mind finishing you off right now."
Hearing this, Xu Zhiqiu hurried back into the room.
Miroku watched Xu Zhiqiu stuff the things she had set down earlier into a white cloth bag and asked in confusion, "Where are you going?"
