Chapter Summaries

Xu Zhiqiu woke after seven days on Mount Hakurei and met Hakudoshi, one of Naraku’s incarnations. As she recovered and went to gather food with Kanna and Hakudoshi, she learned that Naraku had fled to the mountain after Sesshomaru and Inuyasha joined forces against him.

• Naraku left Xu Zhiqiu asleep behind a Barrier, and she dreamed of returning to her modern home and seeing her Jade before Kanna woke her.
• Xu Zhiqiu met Hakudoshi, blocked his probing, and learned from Kanna that she had slept for seven days.
• Kanna explained that Naraku had brought them to Mount Hakurei, left Kanna there, and returned to Inuyama Castle with Kagura.

• Xu Zhiqiu joined Kagura, Hakudoshi, Byakuya, and Pure Spirit for cards and explained that she had missed the previous night because she and Naraku had gone to bed.
• Byakuya said they had searched everywhere in the world and sensed no more Shikon Jewel Shards, while Xu Zhiqiu suspected some might be in another world.

• After several days with Naraku, Xu Zhiqiu and Pure Spirit helped heal the injured at the castle.

• Pure Spirit explained that Xu Zhiqiu could use the Dragon's Roar Sword, her blood, and a Shikon Jewel Shard to enter the boundary between the mortal world and the Underworld.

Xu Zhiqiu retrieved the final Shikon Jewel Shard from Hōsenki and returned to Naishu Castle with Naraku. She began resolving the conflicts surrounding the jewel, lifting Miroku’s Wind Tunnel, while Inuyasha confronted Naraku over the remaining shards.

• Naraku led Xu Zhiqiu and Kanna through a portal to the demon’s grave, where they found Hōsenki guarding the final Shikon Jewel Shard.

Hakudoshi killed Gora, and Xu Zhiqiu reunited with Kikyo, Inuyasha, and Lan before learning more about the Four War Gods’ past. As they rowed toward Horai Island after its barrier appeared, Lan hoped Kikyo and Inuyasha would save the island’s people.

• Xu Zhiqiu rescued Lan from Gora’s attack, and Hakudoshi killed the giant sea turtle with a decisive slash.
• Kikyo and Inuyasha arrived, and Lan recognized them and ran into Kikyo’s arms.
