With just one punch, Leomon accomplished as much as all their earlier efforts combined.

Next, Meramon used his heat to burn away the branches, while the other Digimon used their abilities to help build the raft!

Before long, a brand-new raft stood before them.

They had worked more than a hundred times faster than before...

"Thank you, Leomon!"

Looking at the raft, Tai and the others could barely put their joy into words.

"It was nothing. I'm just glad I could help." After all, these children were trying to save the Digital World. His little contribution hardly amounted to anything.

Crack...

Just then, cracks began appearing on the surface of the Digi-Egg T.K. had been holding all this time.

"What's this?"

T.K. noticed immediately. Having helped Elecmon care for the babies, he knew this sight all too well.

We were finally going to see each other again...

Crack!

The shell shattered completely, revealing a tiny In-Training Digimon!

"The Digi-Egg hatched! It's Yuramon!"

This was wonderful! Patamon had come back to life!

"So cute!"

"This is great!"

Amid everyone's laughter and cheers, Tai and the others climbed onto the raft.

"This is as far as I can take you. Take care of yourselves."

They looked at Leomon standing on the shore, his eyes full of well wishes for the DigiDestined children.

"Thank you! Goodbye!"

"Goodbye, Leomon!"

As the raft drifted away, the children's voices grew more distant.

Out on the calm sea...

A lone raft drifted quietly toward an unknown destination.

"I can't see anything."

At the bow, Tai scanned their surroundings through his monocular.

"I wonder how long it'll take to get there." The endless sea felt intensely oppressive, and Joe was already growing restless.

"We only just set off!" Unlike the slightly uneasy Joe, the carefree Tai seemed completely unaffected.

"But the food and water we brought will only last half a month." Being older, Joe clearly considered more things than Tai did.

"We can fish when we run out!" Oblivious to the danger, Tai spoke casually, taking it for granted.

"I hope the weather doesn't turn bad."

Ignoring their discussion, Sora worried about the weather instead. After all, conditions at sea were always changing.

"Ugh..."

The rocking raft was already becoming too much for Izzy.

T.K., on the other hand, seemed perfectly fine, completely unaffected by the jolting.

Whoosh!

Just then, a huge wave swept over them, nearly overturning the little raft.

"Our ocean express is here-Whamon!" Knowing the original story well, Zhou Zhu wasn't worried about the wave. Instead, he calmly held on to the raft.

"How can there be waves when there's no wind?"

After steadying himself, Tai looked astonished by the enormous wave.

"Could a ship have passed by?" Joe let his imagination run wild.

"I don't see any ships..."

Before Tai could finish, an enormous creature leaped out of the sea before them.

Its massive body seemed even larger than Devimon had been after his power-up.

"It's an island!"

Looking at Whamon's upper body, Tai still failed to connect the creature before him with a Digimon, instead thinking it was a small island rising above the sea.

"No, that's not an island!"

Seeing Whamon still moving, Sora was nearly scared enough to wet herself.

Splash, splash, splash!

Amid an enormous surge of spray, Whamon submerged again.

Gasp!

Looking at the enormous dark shape beneath the raft, even Zhou Zhu, who had mentally prepared himself, couldn't help feeling a jolt of fear.

Watching the anime, he had never felt much. Only now, experiencing it firsthand, did he realize just how intimidating a Champion Digimon like Whamon could be...

Whoosh!

Smack!

Beneath the raft, Whamon merely flicked his tail, raising another enormous wave that nearly swept everyone into the sea.

"What's happening?" T.K. clutched Yuramon to his chest, fear showing on his little face.

"It's Whamon! But Whamon isn't supposed to be a vicious Digimon!" Having finally gotten a clear look at the enormous creature in the water, Tentomon explained in a hurried, confused voice.

Whoosh!

Before anyone could react, Whamon opened his cavernous maw...

"Aaaah!"

Along with the seawater, the children's raft began sliding into Whamon's mouth.

Gasp!

Across both his lives, Zhou Zhu had never experienced anything this intense. Even knowing nothing would happen to them, he was still having trouble controlling his bladder...

As Whamon's huge mouth closed, everyone was plunged briefly into darkness.

"This is Whamon's esophagus."

Izzy studied the enormous passage before them, which resembled a subway tunnel, with a hint of wonder on his face.

"Did Whamon eat us? How are we supposed to get out?" Mimi was now too frightened even to open her eyes...

"Probably through his butt."

"Ah! I'm not going out through a place like that..." Hearing the word "butt" brought back Mimi's terror of being at Sukamon's mercy.

"Just like poop..."

Palmon continued rubbing salt in the wound from beside her.

"Stop talking about it!!!"

Mimi was utterly miserable.

Splash, splash, splash!

After a series of jolts, the raft landed in a relatively level space.

"This is his stomach."

Izzy looked around the empty space, filled with curiosity.

"His stomach?"

Mimi began looking around too.

"It's where Whamon digests his food..." Izzy spoke as though he wasn't the food about to be digested.

Whoosh!

As a layer of green liquid seeped out, the raft beneath their feet slowly began to dissolve.

"Aaaah!"

"We have to get out of here! We're in danger!"

Even Joe, the oldest among them, began to panic.

"Tai, look over there!"

Just then, Sora spotted something familiar on Whamon's stomach wall.

"That's..." Tai looked in that direction, visibly shocked.

"A Black Gear! No wonder Whamon's become so vicious!"

Beside him, Agumon finally understood why Whamon was acting this way. It was all the Black Gear's doing!
