"DemiDevimon!"
What was going on? Why was DemiDevimon in a place like this?
Turning to the side, Agumon also discovered a large number of Koromon locked in iron cages.
"What's going on? Why is everyone locked up here?"
As Agumon looked at all the Koromon, a bad feeling rose in his heart!
"Because the village outside was ours to begin with! Two or three days ago, a bunch of Bukamon came and took it over." Looking at Agumon, the Koromon seemed to feel they had finally found someone to back them up, someone they could count on.
After all, in terms of strength and numbers, they had no reason to fear those Bukamon. Unfortunately, their opponents had played dirty and brought in evolved Gazimon to help...
"So that means... those guys..."
Agumon began to worry about Tai and the others.
But then he remembered that Wisemon, a powerful Perfect Digimon, was there to hold the fort, and his unease faded.
"They're all lying creeps! Hurry back and tell everyone!" At the mention of those Bukamon, DemiDevimon immediately grew agitated.
"I know, but first, let's get you out of here."
With Wisemon watching over the Koromon village, those Bukamon couldn't cause much trouble. Right now, his priority was to rescue DemiDevimon and the Koromon.
Clack, clack, clack...
"You can't do that~"
Just as Agumon began using his claws to open the lock, a Gazimon's voice suddenly came from behind him.
"You're Gazimon!"
Looking at the two figures before him, Agumon immediately identified them.
"The DigiDestined are to be handed over to Lord Etemon."
As the two Gazimon looked at Agumon, they had already bared their sharp claws.
"Did you say Etemon?"
There was a mastermind behind this too???
"Heh, you're going to die here!"
The two Gazimon had no intention of explaining much in response to Agumon's question. Instead, they raised their claws and lunged, pinning him to the ground.
"Agumon!"
Seeing this, DemiDevimon was worried, but there was nothing he could do.
Meanwhile, in the Koromon village...
"DemiDevimon is still little. He shouldn't have wandered too far."
Unable to find any trace of DemiDevimon, the children simply couldn't figure out where he might have gone.
"He's taking forever. Just where did Agumon go looking?"
With Agumon still not back after so long, Tai began to worry.
"Paralyzing Poison Gas!"
Hit by the two Gazimon's special attack once again, Agumon was knocked straight to the ground!
"That's so dirty! Two against one!"
Seeing their rescuer being so brutally beaten by the two Gazimon, the Koromon in the iron cages cried out in protest!
"Agumon, you can do it!"
Still an In-Training Digimon and trapped in an iron cage, DemiDevimon could only cheer Agumon on as he watched him covered in injuries.
"Tai, I need to digivolve!"
Looking at the two weakling Gazimon before him, Agumon felt utterly frustrated. If only he could digivolve into Greymon now, a casual blast of Super Flame would send both of them off to meet Elecmon on the spot. He wouldn't be getting beaten up like this...
"It's no use. They're too far away to hear you." Having learned plenty from the Bukamon, the Gazimon certainly weren't going to give Agumon a chance to call for help.
"Damn it, if it weren't for the waterfall..."
"Wait! The waterfall? That's it!"
In that desperate moment, the usually simple-minded Agumon suddenly seemed to have a flash of inspiration.
He got straight up and began firing Pepper Breath at the waterfall like mad!
As Agumon attacked over and over, the collision of fire and water sent great clouds of steam rising around the waterfall.
"You idiot! Where are you aiming?"
Watching Agumon's attacks, the Gazimon failed to realize how serious things were. Instead, they sneered at him as he continued firing Pepper Breath wildly at the waterfall.
"Pepper Breath!"
Faced with the Gazimon's mockery, Agumon wasn't foolish enough to explain. He simply kept using Pepper Breath on the waterfall.
"Huh? What's that?"
In the distance, Tai suddenly noticed a great cloud of mist rising in the direction of the waterfall!
"Tai, what's wrong?"
Seeing that Tai seemed to have noticed something, Matt walked straight over and asked.
After all, DemiDevimon was his little brother T.K.'s Digimon. He couldn't help being concerned.
"There's smoke over there..."
Not realizing the seriousness of the situation, Tai merely pointed toward the waterfall with mild curiosity.
"What's going on?"
Joe also came over curiously!
"It's DemiDevimon!"
Although he couldn't see what was actually happening, T.K. didn't care. He wouldn't overlook any chance of finding DemiDevimon.
"H-how could that be? We already searched around the waterfall." Hearing T.K.'s words, the Bukamon began to grow nervous.
If this bunch found their way to the waterfall, wouldn't their whole deception be exposed?
These DigiDestined had six Rookie Digimon with them! And... that other unknown Digimon looked very powerful too. Could it be a Champion Digimon?
They only had two Gazimon on their side. They were no match for the others at all. Hopefully, the Gazimon who had left would bring Lord Etemon back soon.
"But maybe DemiDevimon went there after you searched it? Anyway, let's go take another look!"
Even now, Tai and the others still hadn't doubted the Bukamon's words. After all, it was hard to question people whose food they had eaten and whose hospitality they had enjoyed.
"No, no!"
No matter what, they had to stall until Lord Etemon arrived, or they would be in serious trouble.
"Why not? We're only going to take a look!"
Hearing the Bukamon refuse in unison, Sora began to feel suspicious.
"W-well..."
For a moment, the Bukamon couldn't come up with any decent excuse. They could only stand there stammering...
"Huh? What's this?"
Just then, Mimi suddenly discovered a lone Botamon!
"That's Botamon!"
Tentomon knew this friend's In-Training form better than anyone.
"Why is one here?"
"That's right. Botamon is the Digimon that evolves into Koromon."
As everyone chimed in, the Bukamon present broke out in cold sweat.
After all, every Bukamon there was an In-Training Digimon. They could handle DemiDevimon, but against Tentomon, Gabumon, and the others, they would be slaughtered without a fight.
"So that means... this place really is..."
Just then, Tai suddenly remembered that when they first entered the village, Agumon had said he could smell Koromon here...
