Zheng Fan wandered back and forth through the void, fumbling around for who knew how long, before finally finding an organization that the World Tree considered a joke.
"Senior, what exactly is the point of our patrols?" a sweet, naive voice echoed through the void.
"Patrols?" The girl addressed as her senior pondered for a moment before saying, "We're a really, really big organization, so we ought to act like one. Come on, perk up and keep patrolling."
Zheng Fan found this amusing. He had been somewhat skeptical when he learned about this organization from the World Tree, but hearing this conversation, he couldn't help laughing aloud.
"Who's there? Who are you?" Two girls dressed as warriors, though they were really just little girls, rushed over with their weapons raised and surrounded Zheng Fan. Their patrol was utterly unnecessary, but the two girls were quite capable.
"The Space-Time Administration Bureau, right? I need to borrow your space-time coordinates. Who has the authority to approve that?" Zheng Fan raised both hands in surrender.
"I'm telling you, that's impossible. Space-time coordinates are the most important things in any plane. But, come to think of it, how did you find our base?" As they walked down the corridor, the younger girl chattered away, completely oblivious to the possibility that Zheng Fan might be an enemy.
The older girl showed no awareness of her responsibilities as a senior, either. As she became engrossed in the conversation, she revealed secret after secret about the Space-Time Administration Bureau. Still, from what Zheng Fan understood, this bureau was merely a club founded by three little girls to gather others like themselves. Though the club had grown larger and larger, its purpose had never changed. Or perhaps the World Tree simply didn't know that the organization had changed.
