The Sea God was executed by the Chief God, and the Divine Realm witnessed the signs of his death. On the Douluo Continent, Bo Saixi buried a bottle near Vast Sea City and entered the city hoping to find work, where a kindly old woman offered to guide her to a Soul Master Academy.
Bo Saixi lost her Soul Power and struggled to find work and food, while Cao De secretly watched her hardships and tried to make her depend on him. After she crept toward offerings to Sea God Island for food, someone caught her stealing.
Cao De rescued Bo Saixi from being thrown into the sea and brought her to the Painted Boat, where he questioned the strange events surrounding the Deep Sea Magic Crystal King's sacrifice. After Bo Saixi confronted him over her treatment, Cao De reminded her of their past debts and how he had saved her again.
Cao De pressured Bo Saixi into serving as his maid in exchange for herbs, money, and help restoring her strength. After Bo Saixi drank Passion Wine on the pleasure boat, the two spent the night together, and she woke ashamed and furious but too exhausted to confront him.
Bo Saixi traveled with Cao De toward Spirit City, while Tang San arrived there under orders from the Asura God and Yu Xiaogang escaped on Luo Sanpao. At the Nuomi Church, the Nuomi Church Master prepared sacrifice stones and confronted the Rakshasa God over her demand to find someone.
The Rakshasa God recruited the Nuomi Church Master to help her find Cao De, while Tang San failed to stop Cao De’s arrival in Spirit City. Cao De entered Spirit Hall and reunited with Snow Woman.
Cao De returned to the Spirit Hall with Bo Saixi and faced the women’s suspicions about his relationships. After he fainted to escape their questions, Qian Renxue held a family meeting that mistakenly welcomed Bo Saixi as one of Cao De’s women, leaving Bo Saixi confused but warmed by their friendship.
Cao De defeated Hu Liena’s attempt to teach him a lesson and learned that Xiao Wu was troubled because one of Bibi Dong’s Soul Rings belonged to her mother. Outside the city, Tang San stayed on watch and drew resolve from a revenge story.
Cao De sensed danger as the Nuomi Church Master arrived near Spirit City with over a thousand followers, while Ah Yin felt an unexplained foreboding. The Nuomi Church Master betrayed the Rakshasa God and severed her access to her Divine Artifact Fragments, leaving her to seek another way back to the Douluo Continent under the scrutiny of the High God.
The Rakshasa God entered the Douluo Continent in her true body, seized the Sea God Trident, and sank Sea God Island. In Vast Sea City, she killed the people who could not tell her where to find Spirit City until a destitute man claimed he knew her target.
Yu Xiaogang was forced to guide the Rakshasa God toward Spirit City while the Clear Sky Sect launched a diversionary attack based on the Nuomi Church Master's promise to reveal where Tang Chen's Ring came from. Spirit Hall ambushed the sect, and as the First and Second Elders were overwhelmed, five more Clear Sky Sect elders arrived to reinforce them.
The Clear Sky Sect’s seven elders and disciples were lured into Spirit Hall and killed, while the Nuomi Church Master prepared to attack Spirit Hall directly. Hidden in a dog hole, Tang San received divine power from the Asura God and was promised a god’s inheritance if he captured Cao De.
Tang San emerged from the dog hole healed and newly empowered, while a blood-red Soul Ring formation appeared over Spirit City. Cao De and Spirit Hall’s assembled Titled Douluos confronted the Nuomi Church Master, whose strength shocked Qian Daoliu; the chapter ended as they launched a combined attack.
Nuomi Church Master struck Cao De with the Five-Colored Illusion, leaving him impaired as Bibi Dong tried to protect him. Tang San attacked Nuomi Church Master and was defeated, while Qian Daoliu crushed a crystal pendant as Nuomi moved to seize Cao De.
The Angel God descended to defend Spirit Hall, but after recognizing Cao De as a key to opposing the High God, she seized him and tried to take him to the Divine Realm. The Nuomi Church Master stopped her and overwhelmed her in battle, leaving their clash unresolved.
Nuomi Church Master killed the Angel God and tried to take Cao De, but Cao De revealed he had been feigning unconsciousness and attacked him. Nuomi Church Master survived Cao De’s strongest strike, leaving their fight unresolved.
Nuomi Church Master fought to keep Cao De from the Rakshasa God, who descended in physical form and tried to seize him. Nuomi Church Master unleashed the blood-red formation and began fighting the Rakshasa God directly.
The Nuomi Church Master detonated the strange power stored in black boxes, devastating the battlefield and badly injuring the Rakshasa God. As the Rakshasa God moved to kill him, Ah Yin intervened and attacked her, leaving the fight unresolved.
The Ice God used a mysterious ice block to awaken a phantom that could challenge the Rakshasa God, while Cao De and his allies struggled to survive the gods’ pursuit. Tang San appeared to stop the Rakshasa God, and the Asura God offered Cao De protection and an inheritance, leaving Cao De’s choice unresolved.
The Rakshasa God recovered his strength as divine power poured down from the Divine Realm, leaving Cao De and his allies facing an overwhelming enemy. The Nuomi Church Master summoned the church’s followers to empower Cao De, and their fight continued with the Rakshasa God unable to kill Cao De because the High God wanted him alive.
Cao De and Nuomi Church Master fought the Rakshasa God while their allies formed a formation to build a weapon against him. The Rakshasa God entered his manifestation state, and Tang San joined the fight under Asura God's control.
Cao De endured the Rakshasa God's attacks while Nuomi Church Master intervened with a strange box and deployed fusion soul beasts. As the Rakshasa God unleashed power that threatened the Douluo Continent, Nuomi Church Master and the Four Against the Shadow began a suppression formation.
Nuomi Church Master and four companions sacrificed themselves to destroy the Rakshasa God, while their sacrifice empowered Cao De and awakened the Blood Pearls. A High God then killed the wounded Rakshasa God and reached down to seize Cao De, but Cao De charged toward the divine hand instead of accepting the Asura God's escape.
Cao De detonated his nine Soul Rings to repel the High God, but the energies around him caused him to be pulled through a strange bubble as his system began to self-destruct. He spent nearly all his Emotion Points in the Shop before reappearing near Spirit City, where he set out to discover what had happened.
Cao De stopped two boys from bullying Nuomi, healed his wound, and encouraged him with stories about people who had book Martial Souls. As Cao De continued toward Spirit City, a Shame Value System appeared under the host name Qingwu, and he discovered it contained another Thousand-Blade Demon Sword.
