"It looks like the Military Police Brigade never did find the soldier who used the Vertical Maneuvering Equipment without permission. Who could it have been?" Gunther mused as he sat on the steps.
"Who knows? Whether the Military Police Brigade would even carry out a thorough search is another question. Right now, I'm more worried about the upcoming recruitment ceremony. How many recruits will be crazy enough to join the Survey Corps?" Elderdin said, slowly rising to his feet.
"Hey, Eren! Chen Si! Does anyone from your class want to join us?" Gunther called to Chen Si and Eren in the stable.
Eren had only just joined, so his lack of seniority meant he had to handle these chores for the time being. Besides, he was still being kept under guard.
Chen Si didn't necessarily have to do chores. Apart from Levi forcing him to clean, he was relatively free. His Grass Mud Horse, however, was rather unruly and aggressive toward everyone but him.
Back in the Training Corps, Historia had helped feed his Grass Mud Horse. For some reason, almost all the horses-and even the Grass Mud Horse-were affectionate toward her. Perhaps that was what made her a little angel.

"Yes. Uh, there used to be quite a few, but I'm not really sure now..." Eren answered instinctively, then reconsidered and corrected himself.
"It's fine. Quality over quantity. If you recruit too many, I'd worry your budget couldn't cover them," Chen Si said with a faint smile. I'm no worse than Erwin at rallying people. How could no one show up?
"That's true. If we could recruit another soldier like Captain Levi, he'd be worth more than hundreds of recruits. Of course, you two aren't bad either. Hahaha!" Gunther said, rubbing the back
