When Mikasa saw Reiner suddenly appear, killing intent flashed in her eyes. Without a word, she drew her long blades and was about to lunge at him, but Chen Si reached out and stopped her.
"Older Brother?" Mikasa asked, puzzled.
Chen Si slowly walked up to Reiner, rested both hands on his shoulders, and lowered his head, his whole body trembling slightly.
"Chen Si! There's no time! Let me take Eren away. Even you can't stop the rocks the Warrior Commander throws!" Reiner was still trying desperately to persuade him.
Chen Si ran through every sad memory he had. Damn it, just let me cry! At last, he managed to squeeze a tear from the corner of his eye.
Chen Si raised his head, looked at Reiner, and hugged him tightly.
"Reiner! My brother! I missed you so much! The Survey Corps needs you. Come back to us!"
Reiner froze for a moment at those words. Deeply moved, he reached around Chen Si's back and patted it.
"Don't worry, Chen Si. I won't let anything happen to you!"
"What is Chen Si doing?" Sasha was completely baffled.
"You've got to be kidding. Is he trying to win Reiner over with love?" Jean asked incredulously.
"My mom turned into a Titan... that Beast Titan definitely had something to do with it! And Reiner is working with him! I saw him climb out of the Beast Titan myself!" Connie said bitterly.
"Chen Si isn't the sort of person who would treat a traitor like this, unless..." A thought occurred to Armin, and his eyes shifted slightly.
"Tactical Deception," Zhang Surou said quietly.
"Miss Chris, you're hurt!" Seeing the blood at Zhang Surou's waist, Historia hurriedly moved to tear a strip from her other trouser leg.
"No need, baby. I've already bandaged it."
