Wall Rose, Survey Corps Headquarters.

"What? Execute them? Their crimes don't warrant the death penalty!" Marlowe shouted in bewilderment.

"Soldier! Are you trying to rebel? Stand aside!" two Military Police soldiers shouted, pointing their guns at Marlowe.

"No! You can't do this! Even if they've committed crimes, they should be tried in court first!" Marlowe blocked their way, cold sweat covering his forehead.

What a stubborn idiot. Hitch looked at the upright Marlowe, feeling rather helpless herself.

"Marlowe! Are you trying to get us killed?" Shabo's face was filled with panic. Under Marlowe's lead, their Military Police squad had actually blocked the cell entrance, refusing to let the Central Military Police through.

"Soldier! Let us through immediately, or I'll execute all of you too!" the Central Military Police soldier threatened.

"Sir! Marlowe has wanted to rebel for ages! He wants to join the Survey Corps! I beg you to punish him severely!" Shabo hurriedly shouted. He wasn't lying, either, because Marlowe had indeed said in private that he would be better off joining the Survey Corps.

Hitch looked at Shabo with utter contempt.

"Oh? Is that so?" Dissi, the Central Military Police squad leader, said coldly.

Five Military Police soldiers behind him formed a line and aimed at Marlowe, while two others immediately kicked him to the ground.

"Execute them all!" Dissi ordered.

The soldiers immediately chambered their rounds.

Tears of regret streamed down Marlowe's face. He felt that he had dragged Hitch and the others into this.

"What? What does this have to do with us?" Hitch argued.

"You're quite a pretty little thing. I can spare you. Execute the other men." Dissi gave a lecherous grin and stroked Hitch's face.

Smack! Hitch slapped Dissi across the face.

"You bitch! Fire!" Dissi immediately roared, his face twisting with rage.
