"Wh-what was that sound?!" Daclais asked, his head slick with cold sweat as he forced himself to stay calm.
"Hmph! Cheap theatrics." The senior officials all looked disdainful, but their trembling legs and sweat-soaked foreheads betrayed them.
"Report! Wall Rose has fallen! The Armored Titan and four unidentified Titans suddenly appeared! Chen Si is fighting them, and huge numbers of fleeing residents are heading toward Wall Sina!" Staff Officer Anka rushed in to deliver her report.
The central officials inside the hall looked terrified, their entire bodies shaking.
"Draw up the Garrison's battle routes immediately! Make absolutely sure the residents can enter Wall Sina safely! Move now! Evacuating the residents takes top priority!" Pixis waved his hand and issued his orders.
"Yes, sir!" the Garrison's commanders shouted in unison.
"No! Close every gate in Wall Sina! No one is allowed inside!" Marquis Delano intervened.
"What? You intend to abandon every resident of Wall Rose? You would just decide to leave people to die?!" Nile asked in disbelief.
"As he just said, civil war has already broken out! Chen Si is the greatest threat Within the Walls! Only his death can ensure this internal strife ends! Keeping the refugees out will also prevent the government from being paralyzed," Delano shouted, his face twisted.
"But if we do that..." Nile gritted his teeth and tried to dissuade him. He had never imagined Erwin would turn out to be right.
