"Where did that brat fly off to? It's been ten minutes, and he still hasn't come down," Levi complained, looking up.
"He probably went off to slack off. Who knew there were Titans that could fly? That's so cool!" Hange exclaimed in delight.
"Hange, this isn't good news. Titans can fly, and our enemy, Marley, has spent years studying them. Although our intelligence doesn't mention any flying Titans, there's no telling whether one might appear. Could we start researching anti-aircraft weapons?" Erwin asked, his expression grave instead.
"Anti-aircraft weapons? We've never researched anything like that on Paradis Island. I think the only case of dealing with an attack from the sky was when the Military Police Brigade arrested some criminals," Hange said after some thought.
"Arrested criminals?" Erwin asked, puzzled.
"Yes. Apparently, a married couple once developed a flying craft. I think it was called a hot-air balloon. They really were an incredible couple. Unfortunately, after the Military Police Brigade arrested them, the Former Royal Government had them executed," Hange said regretfully.
"I believe the man's surname was Arnold," Erwin said, rubbing his chin before glancing at Armin, who was gazing up at the sky with envy in his eyes.
"What's that? Look!" a soldier cried out.
Everyone looked up to see an enormous mass of blue light trailing a long tail of flame as it hurtled toward a spot on the ground.
"I've seen something like that in old books. I think it's a huge rock falling from the sky!" Marlowe said after a moment's thought.
"What? Rocks can fall from the sky?!" Sasha's mouth fell open in astonishment.
"Wouldn't that crush people to death?!" Connie exclaimed in alarm.
"You two idiots. What rock? Chen Si obviously did this," Jean said, pressing a hand to his forehead in exasperation.
