"What..." Marlowe murmured blankly. He understood the Survey Corps less and less. Every time one of them went off to fight, the other soldiers never seemed worried at all.
What happened next left Marlowe and the other recruits dumbfounded.
A little whirlwind of a man plunged into the tide of Titans with one blade and his equipment. His blade rose and fell in a flurry of flashing steel. In less than two minutes, all fifty-odd Titans were dead and giving off steam.
The recruits were dumbstruck once again, while the veterans watched Levi's performance at their leisure.
"Don't Captain Levi's blades break? He shouldn't have enough gas, either!" Marlowe said incredulously.
"Hahahaha! Kid, once you've mastered your Vertical Maneuvering Equipment and slashing techniques, you'll understand!" Oruo shouted, clapping Marlowe hard on the back.

Afterward, with Eren and Annie's help, Chris sat on Eren's shoulder, bored out of her mind. Whenever a Titan lunged at them, she gave it a glance, and Titans toppled wherever they passed.
