In the week after Yelena arrived on the island, Eren and Annie carried another twenty Reconnaissance Ships ashore on Paradis Island.
Yelena called on the Anti-Marleyan Volunteers to begin consolidating the resources aboard the dozens of Reconnaissance Ships.
"What exactly is that dark thing?" Sasha warily watched a dark figure carrying crates back and forth.
"No idea. Is it some kind of animal from Marley? But it looks a lot like a human," Connie said after some thought.
Because Chen Si had forbidden any private contact between the Survey Corps and the Anti-Marleyan Volunteers, the Survey Corps was tasked with watching the volunteers. They had barely spoken to them over the past week, and the soldiers on Paradis Island remained cautious and vigilant.
Listening to Sasha and Connie whispering nearby, Olyanpo felt indignant. But remembering Chen Si's brutality, he did not dare speak up to explain that he was human. He could only silently endure their daily guesses about what kind of animal he was.
Olyanpo still remembered the first thing Paradis Island's Marshal Chen Si had said upon seeing him: an inexplicable "Holy shit, ni!" He had not understood it, but he was sure it was nothing nice.
After a week of unloading and consolidating supplies, the resources aboard the Reconnaissance Ships had largely been sorted out.
"Colonel Floch, all the cargo has been accounted for. May I meet with Marshal Chen Si now?" Yelena asked Floch stiffly.
Looking at Yelena's impassive expression, Floch said disdainfully, "Know your place. You're nothing but a bunch of Marleyan rebels. You don't get to see the Marshal just because you ask."
"Colonel Floch, I must reiterate that we are not Marleyan rebels. We are the Anti-Marleyan Volunteers. Our goal is to resist Marley's rule and bring the world a new future," Yelena
