Chen Si found a driver and had him take them to the nearest optician's shop.
"So many glasses! I spent days looking and couldn't find any."
Mike stared in surprise at the glasses on display, including the sunglasses he had been longing for. There were plenty of formal clothes nearby, too.
"No kidding. As if you'd find any in a refugee camp," Chen Si said, exasperated.
Mike grew wary. What was Chen Si getting at? Why had he brought him here?

"What can I get you, gentlemen?" The shopkeeper set down the newspaper he had been reading.
"Get me a pair of the latest women's sunglasses. And I'll take a pair of these glasses, too," Chen Si said directly.
"Of course! Our hottest singing star wears this very pair, and they're extremely popular with the capital's society ladies. As for the price, though..." The shopkeeper took out a rather expensive-looking glasses case and opened it, revealing an elegant pair of women's sunglasses. He looked over Chen Si's and Mike's clothes.
"How much? I'll take them!" Mike immediately spoke up.
"Not much, not much. Just this amount." Smiling, the shopkeeper held up five fingers.
Mike breathed a sigh of relief and took out five Marley Coins, placing them on the counter.
The shopkeeper's mouth twitched. He turned to Chen Si.
"Sir, what prescription would you like for your glasses?"
"No prescription. Just give them to me," Chen Si said.
