"I'll stay behind and find a way to deal with all the Titans in Marley's Warrior Unit. But before that, I've received some intelligence about Titan research, and I need to get my hands on it first."
"Titan research? What intelligence?" Erwin asked.
"It might be research that could break the fourteen-year lifespan limit," Chen Si said gravely.
Erwin's expression grew solemn. He knew what that meant.
"Chen Si, this is too important. It's worth any price. If we can break the lifespan limit, we can abolish the inhumane Titan inheritance system. A few decades would be enough for our technology to catch up," Hange said, extremely excited.
"It's only a possibility. We still need to try. If Marley really has succeeded in its research, Eren, Erwin, and..." Chen Si glanced at Mikasa beside him, but ultimately left Annie's name unsaid. "They won't have to die in a few years."
"Will it be dangerous?"
Mikasa didn't take offense. Instead, she asked about what mattered most to her.
The corners of Chen Si's mouth lifted slightly. He reached out, cupped Mikasa's face, and gently stroked it.
"There probably aren't many people in this world who can pose a threat to me anymore. Don't worry."
"That intelligence you mentioned wouldn't have something to do with Philia, would it?" Chris asked after a moment's thought.
"That's right. Chris, do you remember Philia's Aunt Lisa? She's very likely someone secretly protecting Philia, while the people following Philia should be from the Marley Security Bureau. They don't seem to belong to the same faction. I suspect Lisa may be a Codename Agent from the Special Operations Department. I just don't know which one."
Chen Si explained.
"Are you sure you don't want me to stay? Can you get the information out of them on your
