"Hah... Reiner..." Jean touched the blood splattered across his face in disbelief, then collapsed to the ground in anguish.
"Floch!! Why did you kill him?! Chen Si said Intelligent Titans would be reborn at random if they were killed!!" Jean roared at Floch.
"Wh-what... Oh no..." Floch's pupils contracted sharply, and his face fell.
Marcel's death had brought forth Roald. Now that Reiner had killed himself, would an even stronger "Reiner" emerge?
"Quick! Save him!! Stop the bleeding!! Hurry!!" Floch immediately ordered the soldiers in a panic.
The gunshots brought Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Sasha, Connie, and the others rushing over from nearby.
"Eren!! He can't heal himself anymore!! Is there any way to restore his titan power?!" Floch shouted anxiously at Eren.
"Eren!!" Jean looked at Eren with hope in his eyes.
"Jean! Floch! What happened?!" Armin glanced at Reiner's mangled body, then questioned the two of them in alarm.
"I saw Reiner trying to take Jean's rifle, so I opened fire. I didn't expect him to..." Floch gritted his teeth, unwilling to accept what had happened.
"Reiner took my gun and killed himself..." Jean said, utterly devastated.
"Reiner... How could this happen..."
"Reiner..."
After hearing Jean's words, Sasha and Connie were each shocked into silence by the sight of Reiner before them.
Mikasa stared at Reiner, her eyes trembling with emotion. His suicide had clearly shaken her deeply as well.
Eren's expression remained calm. He crouched down to examine Reiner, lifted his eyelid, then slowly stood. "He's lost his instinct to survive. There's no way to restore his titan power."
Everyone fell silent at his words, saying nothing more.
"Floch, come here for a moment." Eren turned and walked toward a patch of rubble.
Consumed by guilt and anxiety, Floch instinctively followed him.
