"Thanks," Jean said, looking rather serious. Chen Si had saved him, after all.
"How many lives do you owe me now, Jeanie?" Chen Si teased.

"Making demands of your lifesaver? Jeanie, you've really hurt my feelings." Chen Si covered his face and pretended he was about to cry.
"Hey, uh, I guess it's not completely out of the question." Jean faltered. Since Chen Si had saved him, he supposed being called that wasn't such a big deal.
"So you want to be a sweet little girl, huh?" Chen Si suddenly flashed his white teeth in a grin and slung an arm around Jean's shoulders.
"You're such an asshole!" Jean said through gritted teeth.
"Annie, that hoodie looks great on you. Where did you buy it? I don't think I've seen a design like that inside the walls." Chen Si smiled at Annie's clothes.
"This hoodie was... uh... bought back home." Annie was about to answer when she suddenly caught herself and hurriedly stopped.
"A hoodie? Is that what you call clothes with a hood like that? I don't think I've ever seen one in my village," Connie mused.
"You can tell at a glance that Annie dresses like someone rich or important. How could a backwater like your village have anything like that?" Jean said, curling his lip.
