Byakuren's face went pale with rage. He roared like an old lion driven into a corner, roaring again and again as he wrung the last traces of chakra from his decrepit body and unleashed another raging ocean storm!
Faced with those towering waves, Madara merely gave a contemptuous snort. To him, these were petty tricks, hardly worth mentioning.
"Water Release: Water Formation Pillar!" / "Fire Release: Majestic Destroyer Flame!"
Water and fire clashed once more. A sphere of water and a sphere of flame, each as large as a meteor, slammed into one another. The collision of those utterly opposing forces shook everyone to the core.
This time, even the spectators noticed something.
After several exchanges, Madara Uchiha had not even used his signature Mangekyō Sharingan. He had fought Byakuren's Water Release with nothing but Fire Release the entire time, and even so, he utterly dominated him.
The Water Release turned to steam that merely swirled around Madara, making him look like a demon god. The Fire Release, however, mercilessly scorched Byakuren, burning away most of the hat and outer robe that marked him as the Mizukage.
Such strength inspired awe and longing.
Watching from the sidelines, Shingetsu could not help reflecting on herself. Had she been relying a little too much on her kekkei genkai lately?
Wood Release and the Sharingan were simply too useful, but the swordsmanship and ninjutsu she had practiced so diligently since childhood had fallen badly by the wayside.
Her lazy streak had taken over, and she had not thought much of it. But watching her master effortlessly suppress Byakuren using only nintaijutsu sounded a quiet warning in Shingetsu's heart-
