Shingetsu's birthday banquet was a grand affair that shook the entire village. The whole Uchiha Clan mobilized to celebrate their little princess's birthday, yet they still found themselves short-handed.
The younger clan members handled security, terrified that someone might cause trouble. Every one of them wore a sour expression as they stood menacingly at the compound gates, while the older generation busied themselves coordinating everything, each worked to the bone.
But the most exhausted of them all were the Uchiha cooks.
The Uchiha chefs could never have managed so many guests on their own. Tobirama specifically sent over the Senju Clan's cooks, then borrowed chefs from all the major shinobi clans. In the end, he even recruited cooks from ordinary restaurants. Almost every chef in Konoha gathered there, and only then could they barely keep up.
Ingredients from all over Konoha were delivered to the Uchiha. Besides the cooks who never stopped cooking, Tobirama's civilian shinobi helped with the prep work, carrying platter after platter of delicious food to the tables. Even so, those returning from deliveries kept shouting that there still wasn't enough food.
Before anyone realized it, the rolling banquet had spilled beyond the compound and stretched all the way from the Uchiha Clan Compound to the village outskirts. Konoha normally had a thriving night market, but tonight nobody manned their stalls or shops. Everyone had gone to the feast.
Out on the street, Yakushi Chan called on the children from the Orphanage to bring out the tables and stools they normally used for meals. The children sat together, laughing and chatting as they waited for the civilian shinobi to bring their food.
