Living Izuna arranged for his dead counterpart to be revived, bringing Edo Madara a chance to reunite with his brother before Shingetsu left for her own world. Shingetsu and Rinnegan Hashirama revived the war dead, then departed with Izuna, leaving Madara, Sasuke, and the Uchiha to say goodbye.
Shingetsu and the others arrived in Tobirama’s world, where they found him beating Edo Madara and learned they would have to wait for the Sacred Tool Kama to recover before leaving. They found Kagami safe in the Uchiha compound, where Shingetsu also recognized the young Sasuke and Naruto.
Shingetsu and her companions visited the surviving Uchiha, where Kagami worried about leaving young Sasuke and the other clan members behind. Meanwhile, Hashirama agreed to represent the reanimated Hashirama at a Five Kage Summit that the other nations were reluctant to attend.
Edo Madara regained his resolve after Izuna and Shingetsu comforted him, while Izuna agreed to help him despite Tobirama's objections. As the group prepared to leave this world, Izuna went to confront Itachi and encountered Mikoto, who begged him to take Sasuke with him.
Izuna confronted Itachi about sparing Sasuke only to torment him, then left him to Tobirama’s experiments. Meanwhile, Hashirama, Madara, and the children reached Sunagakure, rescued Gaara from an assassination attempt, subdued Shukaku, and carried Gaara away with them.
Edo Madara and the two Hashiramas kidnapped Rasa and Gaara, then fed Gaara and convinced him that he was an Uzumaki whose family had mistreated him. Gaara accepted his new identity and found comfort among Naruto and the others, while Rasa was left bound and furious.
Edo Madara’s group paused to care for the children before heading to Iwagakure, where they captured Ōnoki and Han. Five-Tails Kokuō recognized Hashirama and tried to flee, but Shingetsu and the others subdued it and left with both captives.
Shingetsu, Madara, and Hashirama captured the Raikage, Mizukage, and several jinchūriki, then brought their captives to Kirigakure. Obito fled with Yagura and the remaining jinchūriki as the leaderless Mist Ninja surrendered to Konoha.
After Karatachi Yagura fled Kirigakure, Mei Terumi accepted Hashirama’s proposal to make Tobirama Senju the Fifth Mizukage, and Tobirama realized the position could give Konoha control over Kirigakure. At the summit in Kirigakure, Shingetsu demanded the return of the Tailed Beasts and claimed Gaara for Konoha, leaving Rasa bound and facing punishment for his treatment of Gaara.
Shingetsu reunited Yakushi Nonō and Kabuto, learned of Danzo’s plot against them, and uncovered the suffering of an Uzumaki woman and her daughter Karin in Kusagakure. After Hashirama and Rinnegan Hashirama tried to save the dying woman, Shingetsu ordered everyone out and destroyed the hospital with Wood Release.
Shingetsu saved Karin’s mother with a God Tree Fruit, then decided to take the rescued Uzumaki survivors and others back to their world. Jiraiya returned to Konoha, met Naruto and Karin at the Uchiha compound, and learned that Nagato was alive and that he was expected to capture the Akatsuki.
Jiraiya learned the truth about the Akatsuki and agreed to arrange a meeting with them instead of infiltrating the Land of Rain. When Konan arrived, Jiraiya and the others captured her, and he declared that Obito Uchiha had deceived her and Nagato.
Konan told Jiraiya and the others how Yahiko died and Akatsuki changed, then agreed to lead them to Nagato after learning Obito might have betrayed the original Akatsuki. As they reached the Land of Rain, Obito appeared at Nagato’s hideout with the Fourth Mizukage and warned that the base had been exposed.
Obito attacked Nagato’s hideout, stole one of his Rinnegan, and escaped after Edo Madara killed the controlled Karatachi Yagura. With the Eye of the Moon Plan in ruins and the remaining threat left to Kakashi and the others, Tobirama persuaded Shingetsu, Izuna, and Hashirama to return home.
Shingetsu and her companions returned from the Otherworld with rescued Uzumaki survivors, while Naruto and Sasuke chose to remain behind and Nagato stayed in his own world. Konoha welcomed the travelers home, but Isshiki approached Shingetsu, renewing the danger.
Shingetsu’s hidden origins as the Ōtsutsuki Origin God Tree shocked Madara, Izuna, Hashirama, and Tobirama, while Isshiki left after warning that the Ōtsutsuki Clan would come for her. Elsewhere, refugees from the Land of Whirlpools reunited with their relatives in Konoha, and Sasuke and Gaara encountered startling counterparts from another timeline.
Shukaku and Gaara encountered their alternate selves among the Uzumaki, while the travelers recovered from their Otherworld ordeal and Sasuke reunited with the Uchiha in a different world. Shingetsu returned with Shukaku and Sasuke, but the Sage of Six Paths demanded that she send them back.
After Shingetsu drove away the Sage of Six Paths and Hamura, she slept for a month, terrifying Konoha before waking to a village-wide celebration. She found Sasuke, Gaara, Karin, and Itama thriving under Madara’s brutal training and reaffirmed that she would not send Sasuke back.
Shingetsu and Madara traveled to the Otherworld and reunited with Hiruzen Sarutobi and Minato, but Madara learned that Shingetsu had died in that world and went on a rampage. Shingetsu redirected his fury at Fugaku and then ordered Madara to punish Itachi for trying to graduate at seven.
Shingetsu learned that Minato’s Konoha had changed for the better and entrusted him with guiding the Uchiha family after seeing memories of Fugaku and Itachi’s dark future. She then met baby Naruto, whose happy family life stood in stark contrast to the tragedies she remembered.
Shingetsu and Madara visited Minato’s world and learned that its Madara had died after Black Zetsu manipulated him. After destroying the grave, Madara set out with Shingetsu and Hiruzen Sarutobi to find Black Zetsu.
Nagato sacrificed his life to resurrect Madara Uchiha, who killed the pursuers seeking the Rinnegan. When Shingetsu's Madara encountered the newly resurrected Madara, the two began a devastating fight, leaving Shingetsu's Madara confronting the fate he had once expected for himself.
Shingetsu struggled to stop two versions of Madara from killing each other, while Uzumaki Zetsu held a funeral for Nagato. She finally halted the fight and ordered everyone to go after Black Zetsu.
Momoshiki found evidence that Urashiki had located the root god tree and resolved to seize it from Isshiki. In the Shinobi World, Madara regained his composure, Resurrected Madara declined an invitation to visit Konoha, and Shingetsu’s White Zetsu followers hailed her as their queen before she ordered them to find Black Zetsu.
Madara and his allies finally destroyed Black Zetsu, but the encounter left Resurrected Madara despairing and Shingetsu’s Madara deeply shaken. After returning to Konoha, the group reunited, while Madara clung to Shingetsu and Izuna more than ever.
