Ch. 261Clever Izuna and Frustrated Tobirama
Izuna organized Konoha’s leadership, giving capable clansmen and civilians important roles while finding a way to include the less capable Uchiha. As the leaders handled paperwork and discussed teaching and graduation, Hashirama enrolled Itama in Madara’s class, and Madara reflected on his students growing up.
- Izuna appointed Kakuzu finance minister and assigned positions to members of Konoha’s clans and civilian population, while Shingetsu and Izuna paired Uchiha ministers with civilian secretaries to balance prestige and authority.
- Madara processed documents by stamping them with his thumb while Hashirama continued signing his, and Shingetsu admired Madara’s appearance before he hurried through the paperwork.
- Hashirama brought Itama to Madara and asked him to teach the boy, and Madara agreed despite Itama’s alarm and Tobirama’s jealousy.
- Tobirama lamented that Hiruzen Sarutobi, Shimura Danzō, Utatane Koharu, and Mitokado Homura had disappointed him as students, then suggested giving them exhausting internships at the Hokage Building.
- Madara remembered that his own students would soon graduate and felt melancholy as he thought about Shingetsu growing up and eventually leaving the Ninja Academy.
