The failed Dimensional Shuttle

The Third Hokage returned to his office.

He glanced at the laptop sitting on his desk.

When Naruto first said he had made the computer himself, the Third Hokage hadn't believed him.

But when Naruto tapped a laptop into existence right before his eyes, the Third Hokage had no choice but to believe him. After all... seeing was believing.

The Third Hokage didn't dwell on Naruto's ability to create things. He simply chalked it up to a natural talent.

The main reason was... there had been no chakra fluctuations whatsoever when Naruto made things.

Otherwise, he would have assumed Naruto had mastered a Ninjutsu called "Laptop Release."

In the current age of ninja, anything without chakra fluctuations was safe.

Chakra was the source of every unpredictable threat. Science? That might as well not exist.

Just look at the Cannon Kumogakure had invented, the one capable of blasting the moon apart. Even that relied on chakra to operate.

The Third Hokage reached out to open the laptop, but... gave up halfway.

After considering his current physical condition, the Third Hokage called out behind him, "Akainu, buy me two boxes of medicine. One to replenish my blood, and the other... to strengthen my kidneys! Remember... keep this confidential!"

At the Third Hokage's order, a ninja dressed in Anbu attire and wearing a white Anbu mask dropped to one knee before him. He acknowledged the order, then vanished again.

Back over on Naruto's side.

After the Third Hokage left, Naruto resumed transferring games to the new computer.

Partway through the transfer, Wolffy's voice rang out in his mind.

"Naruto, come into the Sealing Space!"

Hearing Wolffy, Naruto glanced at the progress bar, which hadn't even reached halfway, and immediately sent his consciousness into the Sealing Space.

Inside the Sealing Space.

Unlike before, Wolffy wasn't gnawing on a leg of lamb. Instead, he was staring excitedly at a machine.

When Naruto arrived, Wolffy said with excitement, "This is the Dimensional Traversal Device I invented!"

"With this, I can return to Green-Green Grassland!"

Hearing Wolffy say that, Naruto felt an indescribable sense of loss.

Mostly, he felt that having Wolffy around was just too convenient. He was starting to find it hard to do without him...

Despite his disappointment, Naruto knew he couldn't talk someone who loved his home, wife, and child out of going home.

"Congratulations, Wolffy!"

Upon learning that Wolffy was leaving, even the prickly Nine-Tails looked over.

"Naruto, thank you for taking care of me lately..."

As he spoke, Wolffy strapped two Little Lambs to himself, then stepped into the Dimensional Shuttle.

Once inside, Wolffy activated the machine without hesitation.

A humming sound filled the air.

Naruto watched Wolffy's body gradually turn into particles of light inside the dimensional transporter. Eventually, Wolffy disappeared from the Dimensional Shuttle.

"Ah..." Looking at the spot where Wolffy had disappeared, Naruto couldn't help sighing.

He turned to the Nine-Tails and said, "Now it's just you and me again!"

The Nine-Tails didn't answer Naruto. Instead, he pointed a claw behind him.

Puzzled, Naruto turned around, only to find Wolffy holding the two Little Lambs and staring blankly back at him.

"Wolffy?"

Wolffy was bewildered too. He had thought he would return to his Wolf Castle, but when he came to his senses, he was still in the Sealing Space.

"I... failed?"

Wolffy sounded dejected.

"No... it wasn't my invention that failed. It's this space..."

"This space is preventing my Dimensional Shuttle from crossing dimensions..."

Hearing Wolffy's muttering, Naruto also looked around the Sealing Space, which was rather different from the one in the original Naruto.

Wolffy looked at Naruto and asked, "What exactly is this place? Why can't I travel between dimensions here?"

Wolffy really was starting to panic.

To Wolffy, Naruto was a very mysterious person. Naruto knew about his existence, yet he knew nothing about Naruto.

At first, Wolffy hadn't cared. After all... he only needed to invent a Dimensional Shuttle to leave this place and return to Green-Green Grassland.

But... after that failed attempt, Wolffy had a gut feeling that... he couldn't leave this space on his own.

So... he could only pin his hopes on Naruto.

Faced with Wolffy's question, Naruto wasn't sure how to explain it either.

"Ah... since you asked." As he spoke, Naruto glanced at the Nine-Tails, then continued, "I'll tell you both what I know!"

A dozen or so minutes later.

An enormous screen appeared in front of the Nine-Tails' cage, playing the beginning of Naruto.

When Naruto Uzumaki appeared onscreen holding a paint bucket, both the Nine-Tails and Wolffy looked at the Naruto standing beside them.

Naruto shrugged, signaling for them to keep watching.

Another few hours passed.

Wolffy was completely engrossed, while the Nine-Tails had sunk deep into thought.

The Nine-Tails glanced at Naruto, then back at Naruto onscreen, which had already reached the Chunin Ninja Exams.

Could... this brat Naruto have the ability to foresee the future? Or... did he travel here from the future himself?

Naturally, the Nine-Tails knew nothing about traveling through time or dimensions.

But... Wolffy had been working on the Dimensional Shuttle lately, and the Nine-Tails had learned quite a bit about such travel from him.

"Brat... what exactly is going on here?"

The prickly Nine-Tails decided to set his attitude aside for now. He had to get to the bottom of this!

Hearing the Nine-Tails' question, Wolffy also turned to Naruto.

Naruto shrugged. "Honestly, I'm afraid you won't be able to accept it."

"Hmph! You humans have kept me sealed up for so long. What could possibly be beyond my ability to accept?"

The Nine-Tails spoke disdainfully.

Seriously... is being sealed up for so long something to be proud of?

After grumbling inwardly, Naruto said, "After watching Naruto, you should be able to guess what my situation is, right?"

Hearing that, the Nine-Tails sank into thought.

After pondering it, the Nine-Tails fixed his gaze on Naruto. "So you really are... a transmigrator!"

Naruto: ...

Holy shit!

At the Nine-Tails' words, ten thousand profanities stampeded through Naruto's mind.

Hearing the word "transmigrator" come out of the Nine-Tails' mouth left Naruto stunned.

Could it be? Is the Nine-Tails a transmigrator too?

Seeing Naruto's bewildered expression, the Nine-Tails grinned. "I knew I guessed right! You're a transmigrator from the future! That's why you know everything, isn't it?"
