Wearing the Hokage's hat, Obito gazed out over all of Konoha.
In thirty years, Konoha hadn't changed in the slightest, as though time had frozen.
He knew this Konoha was the one that had left the deepest impression on him.
This was the Konoha of his memories, and everyone in it, including Rin, looked just as he remembered them.
Obito's eyes gradually grew clouded with confusion.
"Is this... really what I wanted?"
Rin was here, and there were none of the Shinobi World's brutal wars. Rin wouldn't get hurt, and most importantly... Kakashi wasn't here, either!
But... all of it felt unreal.
In the end, the Rin by his side was only the Rin of his memories.
Meanwhile.
In the Real World.
Naruto, Minato Namikaze, Kakashi, and Kushina stared at the projection screen.
The screen showed everything Obito was experiencing.
Naturally... some minor details were skipped, but they watched all the key scenes, like his marriage to Kakashi and the creation of a world with Kakashi in it!
After watching those scenes, Kakashi looked positively green.
He hadn't expected to get dragged into Obito's torment. He was an entirely innocent casualty here...
If... the clip of him holding hands with Obito and exchanging vows ever went public... Obito wouldn't be the only one who wanted to die. He would, too...
Kushina Uzumaki, on the other hand, watched with great interest.
After all... quite a few of these scenarios had been her idea.
Glancing at the rather vacant-eyed Obito on the screen, Minato Namikaze asked in confusion, "Naruto, why did you put together all these little scenarios? Just to mess with Obito?"
"Of course not..." Naruto waved a hand. "I'm helping Obito face reality
