After hearing Wolffy's answer, Kurapika asked no more questions.
Even if he could never return to his original world, there was little Kurapika could say. Still, Wolffy and Naruto's words gave him something to hope for.
After chatting with Naruto a little longer, Kurapika went back to watching Naruto.
Just then, Zeff, who had been reading and drinking off to the side, walked over.
"Naruto, the Uchiha are about to be wiped out, aren't they?"
At Zeff's question, Naruto nodded. "Yeah... it's going to happen soon!"
"Have you thought about doing something? Saving the Uchiha, for example?"
Hearing that, Naruto knew Teacher Zeff wanted to save the Uchiha himself.
After all... the adults weren't the only ones who would die in the massacre. There were elderly people, children, and women among them, too...
Given his nature, Zeff couldn't stand by and do nothing when a tragedy was about to unfold before his eyes.
Kurapika, who had already sat down at the computer, turned to look at them when he heard Zeff's words.
"Teacher Zeff... I've thought about saving them, too, but... you know I'm not strong enough to do anything right now."
Naruto had actually considered using Wolffy's advanced inventions, but after giving it some thought, he decided they were far too unreliable.
First, Wolffy's inventions tended to be absurd. They were fine for everyday life, but if... they were used in warfare, who knew what might go wrong?
Second, and most importantly, they absolutely couldn't underestimate the power of Ninja.
Besides, several factors led to the Uchiha Clan Massacre, and there were a few masterminds involved whom Naruto couldn't afford to provoke yet. There was Danzo, Obito Uchiha, who called himself Madara, and finally the somewhat inscrutable Third Hokage.
If the Uchiha really rebelled, the Third would definitely assign plenty of Anbu to secretly protect him, the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki.
At that point, it would be even harder for him to do anything.
Zeff knew, too, that their chances of saving the Uchiha were far too slim.
Kurapika, who had been watching them the whole time, also sighed. Although the Uchiha Clan wasn't his Kurta Clan, thinking about the Uchiha's impending destruction still reminded him of his own people and the dark sockets left after their eyes had been gouged out.
Just as Naruto felt the conversation growing heavy, his gaze happened to drift toward the computer playing Naruto, then toward Kurama, who was moving bricks.
Suddenly... a plan came to Naruto. It was a little absurd, but it seemed workable.
The plan was called the [artificial Infinite Tsukuyomi plan]. It could also be called the [entertainment invasion plan] or the [entertainment saves the world plan].
To bring peace to the world, Madara Uchiha intended to pull everyone into the Infinite Tsukuyomi and make them dream, creating peace that way.
That method really could create peace, but it had a few drawbacks.
For one, if all humanity was dreaming, who would produce the next generation?
The second was a problem with the Infinite Tsukuyomi plan itself: everyone caught in it would eventually turn into White Zetsu.
In other words, humanity in the shinobi world would ultimately go extinct, no matter what.
But what if Naruto created a virtual world himself?
Naruto thought of a concept from his previous life: the [metaverse].
A metaverse was a virtual world connected and created through technological means, mirroring and interacting with the real world-a digital living space with a new kind of social system.
But the metaverse was still only a concept. Making it a reality would require a brain-computer interface like the ones in science-fiction movies.
For Wolffy, though, making a brain-computer interface wouldn't be difficult.
Seeing Naruto suddenly freeze in place, his eyes closed as he pondered something, left both Zeff and Kurapika puzzled.
Just then, Naruto abruptly opened his eyes and shouted.
"I've got an idea..."
Hearing Naruto's words, Zeff and Kurapika were both curious about what solution he had come up with.
Seeing the two look his way, Naruto explained.
"My idea is to create a metaverse. I'm not sure whether it'll work, but... we can give it a try!"
Then Naruto called Wolffy and Kurama over as well and began explaining the concept of a metaverse.
"We understand what a metaverse is now... but... how will it save the Uchiha Clan?"
Although the concept sounded impressive, Zeff still didn't quite understand how a metaverse could save the Uchiha Clan.
Naruto smiled and explained, "Teacher Zeff, the biggest reason the Uchiha Clan gets wiped out is their rebellion."
"If it weren't confirmed that the Uchiha were going to rebel, the indecisive Third Hokage wouldn't allow Danzo to massacre them. After all... wiping out the Uchiha is like cutting off one of Konoha's arms."
"And the Uchiha rebel because the village refuses to accept them and the Konoha High Command suppresses them."
"With a metaverse, they could vent all those emotions inside it."
"I imagine the Uchiha would stop heading toward extremes for a while! By the time the novelty of the metaverse wears off, I'll probably be strong enough to sweep aside everything in my way!"
After hearing Naruto's explanation, both Zeff and Kurapika felt that the metaverse plan could indeed work.
If they expanded it further, they could even use the metaverse to bring peace to the world.
In fact, after watching Naruto, Zeff, Kurapika, and even Wolffy all thought there was something wrong with the people of the shinobi world.
They had such a convenient power as chakra, yet instead of using it for efficient production, they used it to fight?
Wouldn't that time be better spent farming, mining, or building roads?
If the metaverse expanded across the entire world, they could use that virtual world to mirror the real one.
Then, when the leaders of each village saw the metaverse world taking a completely different path of development from reality, they might start wondering what all those years of war had been for!
"The metaverse sounds great. I think this plan could work!"
Kurapika was the first to voice his support for the metaverse plan.
Zeff nodded as well. "It could indeed work, but... I don't know if we have enough time. There's less than a year before the Uchiha Clan Massacre."
Hearing Zeff's words, Naruto turned toward Wolffy, who had remained silent the whole time.
Wolffy shrugged. "It's just a brain-computer interface. Making one won't be a problem. The main issue is the materials!"
"As for creating a metaverse, that's even easier. I've played plenty of online and single-player games lately. Creating a metaverse world won't be a problem!"
Hearing that, Naruto felt reassured. Wolffy really was a walking cheat.
"Starting tomorrow, we'll get to work on creating the metaverse."
"I'll have my clone keep collecting junk to gather materials for Wolffy."
"Wolffy, you'll be in charge of making the brain-computer interfaces. Don't make the first ones too overpowered. Something shaped like a helmet will do!"
Then Naruto turned toward Teacher Zeff.
Zeff thumped his chest with his fist. "Naruto, just tell me what you need me to do!"
"Right!" Naruto nodded. "Teacher Zeff, we're running low on money, so I'd like you to... go make some money tomorrow."
"After all, to get the metaverse going, we'll need more than equipment and promotion. We'll also need a physical location like an internet café, along with a place where people can try it out."
"Don't worry, I'm not asking you to rob anyone." As he spoke, Naruto looked toward the projector sitting nearby...
