When Naruto arrived, he saw Madara Uchiha slaughtering the Muku Titans alone.
Although Madara killed them quickly and efficiently, there were simply too many Titans. Quite a few still broke past him and entered the city, where they began massacring the humans.
Naruto did not go over to greet Madara. Instead, he flew straight into the city. He wanted to find Eren first and, at the very least, save his mother.
But Naruto ran into an embarrassing problem... this place was enormous, and he had no idea where Eren's home was.
Although his Observation Haki could sense things from far away, he had never met Eren's mother and had no idea what her presence felt like.
As Naruto rushed around aimlessly, saving a few people being attacked by Titans along the way, he suddenly sensed fluctuations of chakra and Nen.
There was only one person here besides himself who could emit both kinds of energy: Shisui Uchiha.
Following that presence, Naruto saw a green Susanoo rise from the ground. Before it stood a Titan with a sickening grin.
The Titan was holding a woman, who was none other than Eren's mother.
Meanwhile, a middle-aged man named Hannes was carrying Eren and Mikasa away.
Eren struggled desperately, but he was still too young to break free of an adult's grip.
Hannes also sensed that something was wrong behind him. When he looked back, he saw a green armored giant dozens of meters tall standing in the city.
"Wh-what on earth is going on?"
Hannes gazed up at the Susanoo and murmured in bewilderment.
While Hannes was distracted, Eren broke free of his grip and tried to save his mother.
