Chapter Summaries

Obito and Zetsu learned that Itachi was about to meet Sasuke, while Little Naruto and the Otherworld's Itachi watched the brothers' battle and confronted Sasuke's companions. Minato trapped Obito, and Sasuke's Kirin struck the battlefield, leaving the brothers' fight obscured by smoke and destruction.

• Black Zetsu used a Senju clansman, Madara's cells, and a White Zetsu sacrifice to revive Madara through Impure World Reincarnation.
• Black Zetsu used Rinne Rebirth to restore Madara to life, and Madara transplanted a pair of Rinnegan into his eyes.

After Madara Uchiha attacked the Fire Temple and abducted Sora, Naruto and the two Minatos realized Black Zetsu might have another pair of Rinnegan and could revive Madara in either world. As they discussed the threat, several enormous Tailed Beast Bombs hurtled toward Konoha.

• An Anbu reported to Minato Namikaze and Tsunade that a man with ringed eyes had attacked the Fire Temple and abducted Sora.
• Little Naruto and the Otherworld's Minato identified the attacker as Madara Uchiha and suspected Black Zetsu had supplied him with another pair of Rinnegan.
• The Otherworld's Minato explained that Sora carried some of the Nine-Tails' chakra, while this world's Minato realized the Rinnegan might have come from an earlier reincarnation of Indra.
• Nagato warned that Black Zetsu might use the Rinnegan to revive Madara in their world, and the group agreed they needed to return quickly.
• The Otherworld's Minato sensed danger, leaped through the Hokage's Office window, and entered Sage Mode as several massive Tailed Beast Bombs flew toward Konoha.

Madara Uchiha revived the Ten-Tails and launched waves of Tailed Beast Bombs at Konoha and the other villages. Four arrivals protected Konoha from the second barrage, and Hashirama Senju revealed to Tsunade that he was a ghost with a physical body.

• The Otherworld's Minato and three golden Nine-Tails stopped the Ten-Tails’ first five Tailed Beast Bombs outside Konoha.

• Tsunade told Hashirama and Tobirama that Madara had been resurrected and was preparing to cast the world into a dream.
