After Sasuke entered the conference room, he drew everyone's attention.
Naturally... Danzo and the two elders standing behind him reacted the most strongly.
"Sasuke Uchiha? Are you rebelling?"
Danzo spoke coldly.
"Rebelling? Hahahahaha..." Staring at Danzo, Sasuke suddenly pressed a hand to his forehead and burst into wild laughter.
"You're accusing me of rebellion? You slaughtered my entire clan. Killing you is only right!"
At that, Sasuke looked at the other four Kage, making his meaning clear.
The Raikage, Mizukage, and Tsuchikage each took a step back. They all intended to watch this farce unfold.
Gaara, the Kazekage, however, stood in Sasuke's path and tried to persuade him. "Sasuke, Naruto is still waiting for you. If you attack here, you'll be branded a rogue ninja!"
Sasuke was utterly unconcerned by Gaara's words.
He and Itachi had come to kill Danzo and the two elders on the current Fifth Hokage's orders.
Naturally... he couldn't reveal that.
"Gaara... move!"
As he spoke, Sasuke fixed his Mangekyō Sharingan on Gaara.
Under Sasuke's Mangekyō Sharingan gaze, Gaara felt a chill run through his heart. Before he could say anything else, Temari pulled him aside from behind.
Once all four Kage had stepped back, Sasuke turned to Danzo. "Danzo, prepare to die!"
With that, Sasuke charged straight at Danzo, who sat in the center.
Danzo merely coughed twice, and several figures surrounded Sasuke.
All of them wore samurai armor. As they blocked Sasuke's path, they shed their heavy armor, revealing Anbu uniforms underneath...
Indeed, these men belonged to Danzo's Root.
Having come to attend the Five Kage Summit, Danzo certainly wouldn't leave himself exposed to danger. He had sent his men to infiltrate the Land of Iron well in advance and replace several armored samurai responsible for security.
Their sudden appearance startled everyone else present.
