Huiqi uncovered the Washuu family's connection to the One-Eyed King while joining the V Organization, training investigators, and overseeing the Quinx experiment. Haise Sasaki led the new Quinx class, but Huiqi's daughters abducted him during a failed capture, leaving Akira Mado to suspect Huiqi had concealed their identities.

• Huiqi defeated the One-Eyed Owl alongside the Fueguchi Sisters, then forced Kishou Arima to cooperate with the One-Eyed King Plan.
• After Aogiri Tree attacked Ward 20, Huiqi became the Ward 20 CCG chief and learned that Washuu Rise was the missing Matriarch behind Rize Kamishiro.
• Huiqi investigated Ward 24 and learned from Leader Amano that the One-Eyed King was a rebel of the Washuu Clan who had fallen dormant underground.
• Kishou Arima named the amnesiac Ken Kaneki Haise Sasaki, while Huiqi selected Kuki Urie, Saiko Yonebayashi, Ginshi Shirazu, and Tōru Mutsuki for the Quinx experiment.
• Huiqi oversaw the students' transplant surgeries and confirmed that Saiko's kakuhou had integrated, then the CCG formed the Quinx class under Haise Sasaki.
• Hideyoshi Nagachika told Touka Kirishima and Kōtarō Amon that Ken Kaneki was alive and shared evidence linking Huiqi to the CCG's experiments.
• Haise Sasaki fought Nishiki Nishio and the Yasuhisa sisters during the Torso investigation, but Kurona Yasuhisa and Nashiro Yasuhisa escaped with him.
• Huiqi examined Nashiro's wound after the sisters brought Haise to him, while Akira Mado recognized the sisters and suspected Huiqi had betrayed her.

Huiqi maneuvered through the CCG’s collapse and Black Goat’s rise while pursuing his plan against the Washuu Family and the ghouls. The arc ended with Ken Kaneki transformed into Dragon, Furuta Nimura cast into it, and Huiqi preparing the next phase of his plan.

• Huiqi recovered Rize Kamishiro, learned the Washuu Family’s ties to V Organization, and later joined Kijima in wiping out the Washuu clan.
• As the CCG attacked Rushima and Cochlea, Huiqi helped Anteiku’s ghouls escape, killed Yoshitoki Washuu, and challenged Kishou Arima while Ken Kaneki fought to survive.
• After Arima’s death, Ken Kaneki founded Black Goat and promised to address Huiqi’s threat through dialogue, while Huiqi continued working with Furuta Nimura and Akihiro Kano.
• Huiqi repelled Black Goat from Ward 22, examined Furuta’s dormant Dragon cells, and warned the Fueguchi Sisters to prepare for a major event.
• Furuta targeted Black Goat while Huiqi reassured Iwao Kuroiwa that his family was safe and inspected artificial kakuhou experiments with Furuta and Kano.
• The CCG assault devastated Black Goat, and Ken Kaneki returned from a food expedition as Hairu Ihei and the allied ghouls fought to defend the base.
• Huiqi killed Roma and Shikorae with the Holy Spear, then left for Black Goat as the CCG suffered defeat and Juuzou Suzuya’s forces left Ken Kaneki limbless.
• Ken Kaneki transformed into Dragon after devouring Hazuki Hajime and the Oggis troops, while Huiqi crippled Furuta, revealed he had used him as a pawn, and threw him into Dragon.
