"Hey, Chinese boy. You've got an Eva too, don't you? We'll meet up through our units' comms later." Asuka turned and ran off, then soon looked back and shouted, "Hey, hurry up and follow me!"

Meanwhile, Misato was in the command room.

"All ships, watch your distance from one another."

The captain surveyed the battle through his binoculars while his assistant demanded over the radio, "Why haven't you reported your status?"

The officer on the other end replied, "The Zimblin has sunk. The Titus Andronicus can't confirm the target."

"Damn it. This must be an Angel," the captain said gravely. Unlike in the original story, he wasn't ignorant of what Angels were.

Huang Zhetian had given him some information to read so he could understand the general situation.

"Get someone from NERV over here. Hand supreme operational command over to her," the captain ordered calmly.

"Captain, I've invited myself in. Sorry about that. Leave this kind of battle to NERV personnel. This is an emergency." Misato appeared, leaning against the doorframe with a sly grin.

"I know. The paperwork needs signing. I haven't forgotten." The captain didn't turn around, continuing to watch the battle in the distance.

Kaji watched everything from up above. He knew it was time for him to leave. "Looks like attacks like these still can't penetrate an A.T. Field." After hesitating briefly, he returned to his room...

Misato, however, was puzzled. "Come to think of it, why would an Angel come here? Is it because of the Evas?"

Over on Huang Zhetian's side, he had covered Shinji's eyes to stop him from watching Asuka change, while he himself...

"No peeking! Pervert! You idiot! Why are boys all so stupid and lecherous? And here I thought that Chinese boy was so kind! Hmph! You're all the same!" Asuka was both embarrassed and furious, her face scarlet.

Shinji and Huang Zhetian stared at each other. Shinji asked, "Are you really Chinese?"

"How am I not Chinese?" Huang Zhetian snapped.

Shinji shook his head and answered earnestly, "I always thought Chinese people were very polite, full of lychees and resin."

Huang Zhetian gave him a strange look. "Are you a hater or a true fan? Or are you just a passerby?"

"What are you talking about? What does that have to do with my question?" Shinji asked in confusion.

"Never mind, then..." Huang Zhetian felt a little guilty and embarrassed. He started looking this way and that to hide his unease. He had seen something he shouldn't have-something indecent.

The following images are paid content. Use your imagination.

"I should go change into my combat suit too." Seeing Asuka come out, he immediately got up and ran. Huang Zhetian didn't want to get slapped silly by her.

Watching Huang Zhetian flee at top speed stoked Asuka's anger again. She shouted after him, "You idiot! Damn it! Unbelievable! And he calls himself Chinese? Hmph! Chinese people aren't as lacking in resin as him!" She turned and took her anger out on Shinji instead. "You didn't bring Unit-01, so you're riding with me. Go put your combat suit on. Hurry!"

"Huh?! Th-this..." Shinji was dumbfounded.

"Hurry! There's no time. You'll pay for it if you hold up my operation! I'll be waiting in Unit-02."

Meanwhile, Huang Zhetian put on his blue combat suit. Made in China, it was very comfortable to wear. Judging by the fabric, it was probably made from nanomaterials and superconducting materials. China's technology in this world was on par with America's. Nice! Really nice.

Things were getting difficult for Misato. Every missile and torpedo they fired was blocked by the Fish Angel's A.T. Field, unable to inflict even the slightest damage. Just as Kensuke was about to change his viewing angle, he spotted a fighter rising beside the flight deck and hurriedly shouted, "That's a YAK-38 Kai!"

Sitting in the rear seat, Kaji called through his microphone to Misato in the command room. "Katsuragi!"

Misato smiled happily and replied, "Kaji!"

But his next words shattered her composure. "I've got something to deliver, so I'll be heading out first."

Misato's smile froze instantly. Then her mouth fell open as she stared at Kaji with a comically incredulous expression.

"Take off," Kaji told the pilot.

As the plane departed, Kaji's infuriatingly smug voice rang out again. "I'll leave things here to you, First Lieutenant Katsuragi."

"He left," Toji said blankly.

"Miss Misato, I'm inside the Special Unit. Awaiting your instructions." Huang Zhetian's voice brought Misato back to her senses. She couldn't worry about that bastard Kaji now. Defeating the Angel was what mattered most.

"Is that you, Zhetian? Come in." Misato's disappointment subsided for the moment.

"Yes, Miss Misato. Without an external power supply, my battery can only last one minute. Also, where's Asuka? Is she still not ready?" Huang Zhetian asked.

"Come over to my aircraft carrier. We have an external power supply here. Asuka isn't ready yet, but she should be soon." Watching the Angel draw ever closer, Misato added, "Hurry and get over here first... Ah!"

Misato cried out as the entire carrier shuddered slightly. She lost her footing and nearly fell. A gigantic blue humanoid machine was crouching on the deck. Misato pressed a hand to her chest and stammered, "Tell us... before you land! The equipment... isn't ready yet."

"Sorry, Miss Misato. By the way, where's Mr. Kaji?" Huang Zhetian asked tentatively.

"Don't mention that bastard! He ran off," Misato said through gritted teeth.

"He ran off? Never mind, then." Huang Zhetian wasn't surprised. Kaji's presence would have been the real problem. His briefcase contained Adam's embryo, after all. Leaving was the right thing to do.

Huang Zhetian comforted Misato briefly, then switched from his internal battery to the external power supply. As he watched the Angel in the water, his eyes held nothing but-

Excitement! Now he could earn practice points!
