• Mari and Asuka attacked the Power Angel with the Special Unit’s beam and Unit-02’s assault, but both EVAs were defeated after the Angel countered.
• Rei charged the Power Angel with an N² Missile, and Mari helped Unit-00 break through its A.T. Field before Rei pushed the Special Unit clear and detonated the missile.
• The explosion destroyed Unit-00 and exposed the Power Angel’s core, while the Angel survived and later absorbed Unit-00 and its pilot.
• In a shelter, Huang Zhetian spoke with Shinji Ikari about his guilt and urged him to stay true to himself; Mari then carried them outside in the damaged Special Unit.
• After seeing the Power Angel’s destruction, Shinji left the Special Unit’s palm, and Huang called after him and promised to hold the Angel back.
• Huang activated the Special Unit X Summoner and transformed into the upgraded Special Unit.
