Misato Katsuragi pounded the table in outrage, glaring around the room. "Raise the holy war alert to the highest level."
Hyuga Kou asked nervously, "Who is our target?"
"Look at you, shaking in your boots. They've come right to our doorstep. Are we supposed to bare our necks and wait for the axe?" Misato Katsuragi snapped, exasperated.
"Humanity, of course. Initiate the judgment protocol."
"The battle plan specifically designed to deal with humans? Commander, do you think the European Union has attacked across the Arctic Ocean? No, the situation is already obvious," Hyuga Kou said.
"But activating that requires permission from the Gospel Church. We're still a United Nations member state, and they're acting under a United Nations resolution."
"I doubt that resolution received our Child of God's approval," Misato Katsuragi snorted.
"This is betrayal. Mobilize all our forces."
"Since their EVA is equipped with a QR Sigum, we can classify it as the same kind of entity as an Angel Vessel."
"Respond under the emergency invasion contingency first. We can work out the finer details of the battle plan during combat."
"And have the Inquisition take all the relevant personnel within the country into custody. We should be able to get plenty out of them."
"Under the law, ANIMA has the right to take direct control of the country during wartime. We can discuss it with the Gospel Church afterward."
"We are now under the direct leadership of the Child of God, with authority over all domestic affairs."
"Child of God, is there any problem with these arrangements?" Misato Katsuragi looked at Shinji Ikari.
"No problem. You're doing a pretty good job." Shinji Ikari shrugged.
