A press conference was held in the Tokyo Settlement in Area 11.
It was for Nunnally, the newly appointed Governor of Area 11.
This was a routine part of every new governor taking office.
A new governor meant new policies, and those were what the reporters and the public wanted to know about.
Besides, her declaration on her very first day that she would "rebuild the Island Nation Special Zone" had left everyone rather uneasy.
On the one hand, they wanted to see what Britannia would choose to do. On the other, they were hoping this puppet governor would say something else outrageous.
Put simply, they wanted to see the new governor make a fool of herself, then splash it across the news to boost their ratings.
However, ever since that last declaration, Britannia's advisory staff had been especially vigilant, afraid that this young lady would cause more trouble.
The reporters began asking questions one after another:
"The Black Knights in Area 11 are showing signs of a resurgence. What are your thoughts on this?"
They opened with a pointed political question.
Nunnally could not answer something like that, and they had not asked her to answer it, either.
Jeremiah and Suzaku Kururugi stood on either side of her. Naturally, answering the questions fell to Jeremiah, the Deputy Governor.
"The Black Knights have already failed once, and naturally, they will fail a second time. I do not believe they would be foolish enough to launch an offensive against Area 11 while it has Knights of the Round stationed here."
"Then how does Britannia intend to respond? If you keep leaving them unchecked, we might see a repeat of the Tokyo Decisive Battle from a year ago."
"Rest assured, we will intensify our searches and offer rewards for information. Once members
