The King's Public Address

This was a live conference broadcast nationwide. One small misstep could invite criticism.

It was also Nova's first time doing something like this, yet he appeared far calmer and more composed overall.

"Your Majesty, I have organized the topics to be discussed at this meeting according to your requirements."

This time, Gogoya took on the role of secretary, and he looked quite stylish as well.

He wore standard professional attire, his hair tied in a bun. A white shirt on top, a pencil skirt paired with black stockings below, and five-centimeter heels gave him an air of elegance and professionalism.

"Just set the documents down. Sit off to the side and be ready to take notes at any time," Nova replied softly with a smile.

"Yes, Your Majesty..."

After Gogoya stepped back and took his seat, Nova straightened his posture and adjusted his clothes, making himself look a little more mature.

Then, without needing him to say anything further, the people below wheeled the camera up before him and stopped roughly five meters away.

Every live broadcast screen outside now displayed the image of their king.

Nova cleared his throat twice, then smiled and waved in greeting. "Greetings, people of the Tru Kingdom. Perhaps quite a few of you do not know me yet, so let me introduce myself first. I am Genji Chōno, King of the Tru Kingdom, an ordinary person who lives in the same place as all of you.

"It is my fortune to become the king of this country, and an even greater fortune to have you as my people. This is both my honor and my responsibility.

"More than two years ago, when I became the king of this country, I made up my mind that I would ensure my people could live the prosperous lives they desired. At the very least, I would make sure that in the days ahead, you would no longer have to worry about food, no longer suffer over cold and warmth, and no longer live in fear for your safety.

"As King of Tru, I am holding the Tru Kingdom's first nationwide live conference today so that you may understand the kind of lives we can bring you in the future, as well as how we should achieve them.

"Whether you were originally citizens of Tru or citizens of Roya who have only recently joined this family, from now on, you all share the same identity: you are members of the great family that is the Tru Kingdom.

"It is you who have granted us power, status, and honor. For that reason, all of us will spare no effort in striving to build the living conditions the Tru Kingdom ought to have.

"For this, I am willing to solemnly swear here that the people will be the foremost priority of the Tru Kingdom. As King of Tru, I am also willing to advance and retreat together with all of you.

"Of course, I also sincerely thank you all for your expectations. If there are any shortcomings in our work in the future, I hope that every citizen watching from before the broadcast screens will offer timely corrections and feedback."

After Nova finished speaking, he remained seated and nodded as a gesture of courtesy.

Yet the others seated in the hall had already been stunned speechless. What king of any country would say such things, especially to the entire nation?

But they had no idea how much of an uproar was unfolding outside.

The moment the king's words ended, the entire country seemed to fall silent for a moment. Then, cries erupted from before every broadcast screen.

They shouted the name of their king, and many had already been moved to tears.

It was no wonder they reacted this way, especially the former citizens of Roya. They had endured inhuman treatment for who knew how many years. Now that they had escaped that hellish life, it felt as though they had suddenly entered paradise. Their king was actually so kind and approachable, and he was even willing to place them first. That was what moved everyone so deeply.

The king had personally taken the initiative to communicate with them and introduce himself. Many people truly had never seen their king before, but after this day, Nova's image was deeply engraved in their minds.

Such inspiring words moved not only ordinary citizens. Even the soldiers assigned to guard the broadcast stations were so touched that they did not know what to do.

His first public appearance had already caused such a tremendous sensation. Even the reporters from other countries and the Grand Line wore shocked expressions.

After Nova finished speaking, the cameraman quickly backed away with the camera, and the shot once again framed the entire royal palace hall.

With the king speaking first, it fully signified the official start of the conference.

The solemn scene also quieted all the viewers, who feared missing something if they did not listen carefully.

Once everyone had gathered their emotions, the meeting in the hall finally began in earnest.

"This is the Tru Kingdom's first national conference. Let me first introduce the meeting and its rules.

"First, this conference is led by our great King of Tru. A total of 176 people are participating, and the entire proceedings will be broadcast live to all citizens of the Tru Kingdom.

"The following discussions will cover a range of subjects. Before any agenda item is raised, everyone must remain quiet."

Lostar stood up, looked at the crowd, and spoke loudly. As the host of this conference, he naturally had the authority to say such things.

No one seated there spoke. They understood these rules even without them being stated, but attending such a formal meeting for the first time inevitably made some people feel excited and uneasy.

Moreover, there were simply too many people watching this conference outside. In some respects, the viewers were not limited to citizens of the Tru Kingdom; reporters were also relaying the broadcast to other countries.

Seeing that no one responded, Lostar shouted the announcement aloud.
