Nova brought Sky Island under Tru Kingdom rule, strengthened his powers, and advanced reforms and military expansion at home and in Alabasta. The volume ended with Issho joining as an Admiral and taking charge of an eight-year plan to build the kingdom’s forces.

Arc 5The Sky Island Expedition

Nova brought Hancock and the Kuja Pirates to Jaya Island, then led his guards to Sky Island and began bringing it under Tru Kingdom administration. He secured Gan Fall’s cooperation and took Enel under his care, while setting plans to survey the island and address its conflict with the Shandia people.

  • Nova taught the Kuja women Armament Haki, then made Hancock’s crew seize Jaya Island while his own group prepared to leave for Sky Island.
  • Nova and eighteen companions flew to Sky Island, where he subdued Gan Fall and met the lonely boy Enel before the boy had eaten the Rumble-Rumble Fruit.

Arc 6Sky Island Under New Rule

Nova brought Sky Island under the Tru Kingdom’s authority, negotiated a settlement with the Shandia, and established a military base and teleportation gate. He left Junhe in charge, returned to sea aboard the Endless, and gained new powers from the System.

  • Nova assigned Gan Fall, Abona, and Junhe to survey Sky Island, announce the change in rule, and approach the Shandia, whose residents offered little resistance.
  • Abona met Wipper and the Shandia chief, and Wipper became the new chief so he could negotiate with the Tru Kingdom.

Arc 7The Space Gate and Reforms

Nova returned to Tru Kingdom, consumed the Mind-Mind Fruit, and gained powerful new abilities before constructing a Space Teleportation Gate to Sky Island. After turning away a Navy warship, Nova set Tru Kingdom on a course of domestic reforms while Lostar began expanding its influence in Alabasta.

  • Nova returned to Naniwa Port, heard Lostar report on Tru Kingdom’s industrial growth, and reprimanded him for using the Fourth Dossier without approval before assigning him to prepare for Alabasta.
  • Nova used the Celestial Dragons’ stolen assets to fill the Royal Treasury, paid the System to remove the Space-Space Fruit’s side effects, and ate the Mind-Mind Fruit.
  • Nova’s nine blue chains unleashed a spatial storm that devastated a plaza, while Abona, Chiya, and the Royal Guard kept others away until Nova regained control of his new powers.

Arc 8Issho Joins the Tru Kingdom

Nova advanced reforms at home, sent the Tru Kingdom’s troops to Sky Island for training, and secured investments and projects in Alabasta. He recruited Issho as an Admiral after demonstrating the military’s strength, then entrusted him with a new system for building the kingdom’s forces over the next eight years.

  • Nova defended his reforms to the Council, then watched more than ten thousand people leave through the Space Teleportation Gate to protect the kingdom while living elsewhere.
  • Chiya led 11,500 Special Forces personnel through the gate to Junhe’s Sky Island base, where the troops began training under the limits imposed by the island’s thin air.
