When the two voices rang out behind them, March 7th and Stelle both stopped.
The voices came from outside the truck!
Under the cold moonlight stood two figures, one tall and one short. With the light behind them, their faces were impossible to make out.
"Our pursuers! Our pursuers are here!" March 7th exclaimed happily.
"Pursuers?" Stelle narrowed her eyes. "They don't look like it to me."
Even their silhouettes looked a little familiar!
The taller figure spoke:
"Hi, we meet again, Stelle."

As she spoke, she turned to Stelle:
"I remember you saying you used to be really close to her."
"Oh, really?" The purple-haired beauty smiled as she looked at Stelle inside the truck. "Could it be that you've remembered something?"
"Ahem, ahem." Stelle lowered her head and coughed.
When she had first joined the Astral Express Crew, she had thought the Stellaron Hunters were some incredibly cool organization, so she had blithely told everyone that she and the Stellaron Hunter named Kafka were best buddies, kindred spirits, a match made in heaven, inseparable soulmates, each other's only support, a couple who treated each other with respect, perfectly harmonious partners, and old flames whose love had never faded.
In short, Kafka was her dear old friend and loved one.
Later, after learning that Kafka was the Sea of Stars' Most Wanted Criminal, Stelle had stopped daring to spout that nonsense.
Now that Kafka had heard it herself, Stelle was practically dying of embarrassment.
She was so embarrassed she could have dug up all the sand here with her toes!
Seeing Stelle's reaction, Kafka breathed a sigh of relief and smiled:
"It seems you haven't remembered."
