Background / History

Stelle was raised by Kafka before joining the Astral Express. The Stellaron Hunters brought her to Herta Space Station, where Kafka erased her memories through the Word Spirit Art. She awakened remembering her own name and Kafka, but without an understanding of her previous life. The Hunters intended this blank slate to follow a predetermined future 176 213 384 393.

At the station, Stelle met Chu Mu and learned that he was Kafka’s family. Although he offered to answer questions about Kafka, she decided some matters were better asked in person. She promised to protect him in exchange for being taken to see Kafka 140.

Stelle initially considered remaining at the station as a researcher, attracted by Asta’s offer of a secure position. March 7th urged her to investigate her lost memories and her ability to contain a Stellaron. Stelle ultimately joined the Astral Express, identifying herself as a Trailblazer and one of the Nameless and accepting the crew as her new family 141 144.

Appearance

  • Hair: Gray 493.
  • Eyes: Golden 384.
  • Usual clothing: She repeatedly chooses new outfits identical to the clothes she originally wore at Herta Space Station, even when Himeko and March 7th arrange replacements 461.
  • Belobog return outfit: Kafka provides tailored businesswear with a crisp white shirt, coordinated with her own clothing but without her lavish coat. Standing together, they resemble a wealthy mother and daughter in matching outfits 461.

Personality

Stelle is easygoing, cheerful, and deliberately eccentric. She readily joins a group willing to take her in, while her jokes and unexpected reactions frequently bewilder her companions. Kafka describes her as energetic, good at livening things up, and like a child who never grows up 144 277.

Rewards strongly influence her decisions. She demands higher compensation when Trailblazing proves dangerous, complains that Herta should pay extra for the desert ordeal, and immediately accepts becoming Belobog’s Savior when Chu Mu promises unrestricted access to treasure chests 174 190 212. Her curiosity also makes her an enthusiastic treasure hunter 285 309.

Her teasing can be insensitive, but she is capable of immediate remorse. After mocking March 7th’s diary, she berates herself upon learning that March keeps it out of fear of losing her memories again. When Kafka waits up for the girls without scolding them, Stelle sincerely apologizes for returning late and making her worry 148 239.

Despite her carefree behavior, Stelle deeply wants to understand her past. Kafka’s promise of answers persuades her to participate in the Luofu arrest, even though she does not want to use Kafka to earn credit for herself 384.

Abilities & Skills

Stellaron Hosting

Stelle can coexist with a Stellaron inside her body 141 190.

  • Dan Heng distinguishes her situation from Cocolia’s: Stelle houses a Stellaron, whereas Cocolia becomes housed within one 190.
  • Herta monitors the Stellaron’s condition and requests further examinations after the Belobog battle 206.
  • Stelle speculates that her Stellaron might reject the effects of life-extending medicine; this is her conjecture, not a demonstrated property 396.

Destruction and Baseball-Bat Combat

Stelle uses a baseball bat for close-range combat and possesses the Path of Destruction 176 267.

  • Fights alongside Seele during the confrontation with Cocolia 190.
  • Describes earlier Simulated Universe tests as battles she could clear by swinging her bat, with weapons, Path abilities, and Aeon-provided combat buffs available 211.
  • Deliberately uses the bat instead of the stronger Flame Lance when confronting Kafka during her escape, holding back her strength 411.

Preservation and the Flame Lance

Chosen by the Aeon of Preservation, Stelle can wield the Flame Lance left by Belobog’s first Supreme Guardian 190 195.

  • Channels the will of Preservation and produces flames hot enough to melt surrounding ice and snow 195.
  • Uses the lance to charge the Abundance Ebon Deer, although it knocks her away repeatedly 418.
  • Acquiring the lance does not make her invulnerable: Cocolia immediately encases her in ice after her return to the battlefield 190.

The Red Sun is not Stelle’s own ability. During the destruction of the puppet containing the Stellaron’s will, Chu Mu adds his power to her attack so that she appears to unleash a sun. Later attempts produce only a much smaller flame attack, allowing Stelle to deduce that the original spectacle came from him 195 204.

Taunting and Drawing Fire

Stelle considers herself skilled at provoking enemies and attracting their attacks 267.

  • Kafka warns her to judge an enemy’s strength before taunting them.
  • Kafka attributes possible self-destructive tendencies to the combination of Destruction’s destructive impulse and Preservation’s willingness to sacrifice; Stelle rejects that interpretation 267.

Treasure Hunting and Investigation

Stelle is adept at searching for valuables and hidden spaces 285 309.

  • Finds gold coins in crevices and concealed compartments, then discovers a wardrobe passage leading to a dungeon 285.
  • Can quickly estimate a treasure’s value in Credits, though this confidence leads her to dismiss Chu Mu’s red bead as an ordinary glass marble 309.
  • Infiltrates the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus as Gray Peony. Chu Mu grants her a high-ranking position through his Green Pheobe identity, giving her access to organizational secrets 383 388.
  • Accepts an Earth-Balance Commission assignment covering ten thousand suspects, but the scale far exceeds what she can investigate during the Express’s short stay 401.

Driving

Stelle’s initial driving experience comes from games. She cannot start the desert pickup truck and does not recognize its third pedal; Kafka later begins teaching her to drive 212 267.

Simulated Universe Limitations

The altered reenactment removes Stelle’s weapons and Path abilities and prevents her from accessing the exit menu 211.

  • Without those powers, she suffers from thirst, hunger, sandstorm injuries, and freezing nighttime temperatures 212.
  • She initially assumes death will log her out, but abandons that plan when Silver Wolf questions whether it is safe 214.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Baseball bat — her early melee weapon and the basis of her “Galaxy Bat Hero” title 176 214.
  • Flame Lance — the first Supreme Guardian’s weapon, which resisted Stellaron corruption for seven hundred years before Stelle took it up 195.
  • Phone — used to communicate with Herta, receive investigative records, and participate in station group chats 209 306 401.
  • Emergency money sewn into her clothing — Kafka’s precaution to ensure she and March 7th could afford transport home during the reenactment 236 239.

Relationships

  • Kafka — Raised Stelle and erased her memories before leaving her at the station. Stelle alternates between affection, suspicion, and frustration over Kafka’s withheld answers. Kafka teaches her to drive, cares for her during the reenactment, and emphasizes that her choices should come from her own heart 213 239 267 393.
  • Chu Mu — Friend, traveling companion, and protective family figure. Stelle first promises to protect him; he later secures her heroic reputation in Belobog and treats threats against her as threats against Kafka’s family. Kafka teases him for acting like Stelle’s older brother, a comparison Stelle disputes 140 195 393 447.
  • March 7th — Close companion and frequent target of Stelle’s teasing. They travel together, endure the reenactment, and investigate Chu Mu’s red bead. Stelle envies March’s connection to the bead but also shows concern and remorse when her jokes hurt her 148 212 266 306.
  • Herta — Researcher studying Stelle and organizer of her Simulated Universe tests. Stelle persistently negotiates for rewards and considers using secrets from the reenactment as leverage for better compensation 209 215 306.
  • Himeko — Welcomes her aboard the Express, reassures her about Herta’s examinations, and suspends further Simulated Universe participation after the reenactment exposes serious safety problems 144 206 306.
  • Dan Heng — Fellow Trailblazer and combat partner. He becomes noticeably warmer toward Stelle after believing she can unleash a sun, while choosing not to pry into her apparent hidden power 190 204 206.
  • Silver Wolf — Fellow participant in the reenactment. Stelle mocks her resemblance to Bronya and her height, while Silver Wolf intimidates her into reconsidering risky decisions and punishes her teasing with a pinch 213 214 266.
  • Asta — Offers Stelle a researcher position. Later entrusts her with the secret that she paid Belobog’s debt; Stelle reveals it privately to ease Chu Mu’s worries 141 482.
  • Sampo — Helps the crew escape to the Underworld, but remains a source of suspicion and pranks. Stelle refuses his red bead and later regrets it; his fake bomb in a treasure chest frightens her badly 174 309 384.
  • Dan Shu — Stelle kindly lets her go, but Dan Shu subsequently seeks to exploit Stelle for her campaign of revenge against an Aeon 393.

  • After the Astral Express helps save Penacony, takes charge of The Reverie’s front desk and processes departing festival guests’ checkouts 493.
